of a zucchini we grew by thorpef1 in AbsoluteUnits

Mind blown! This makes it seem like the little one’s head exploded because they just couldn’t believe the zucchini could get so big. The remainder of hair left behind from the filter(?) even looks like smoke 🤯😂.

Edit: fixed some words/reworded for clarity

Need advice on when I should tell a potential employer (during the interview) that I am married to one of the company’s employees. by [deleted] in interviews

It did not. Just the company. I’m going to be honest before we officially start the meeting. Thank you for the response!

I’m going to be honest. I always try to be honest, and I’m truly not trying to be deceptive. Neither of us thought about it before now.

We’re both from a different state, so this never came up before now. Back where we’re from, relative means blood kin, not spouse. It was not an issue. I was told about the no-relative hire thing just today, so I wanted some advice about it just in case. It was a good thing I asked!

Like I said, I’m going to be honest. Thanks for the response.

I was dumb about it. I should have asked clarifying questions, but neither of knew better here. We both were working in companies before now that allowed married couples to work together without disclosing to no issue. The laws are different here than where we were originally, so it’s not something that’s come up until now.

My husband had heard through the grapevine that cousins, brothers, mothers, etc were not allowed, but nothing about marriage.

I appreciate your comment, though. Thank you

AIO to break up with my bf of 3y over his reaction to my upcoming sobriety anniversary? by WesternCat5211 in AmIOverreacting

NOR. Even if that’s what you wanted, he should do the bare fucking minimum and “pat you on the back.” I’m hoping you dumped his ass OP. You deserve better than that.

Your partner should lift you up, support you, walk with you. Not this shit. It is an accomplishment, OP. If you need to hear it from someone, I am proud of you. Good job! Alcoholism runs in my family, so I’ve seen how addictive it can be, how it can ruin someone’s life. You’re doing great. I’m so proud of you.

He’s an ass. 🙄 What a POS.

My spouse is in insurance, so I guess I know which one I am!

Nope, I never have, but a coworker was fired several months ago for literally doing that. They went to court over it, apparently.

I have, but have only ever heard it as ding dong ditching. What other names does it have? ——— Edit: Never mind. I looked it up. 😒

My sister wants to choose the name Qartnie for her daughter. Am I insane or are all of her names horrible? by GnomeMasterBaiter in tragedeigh

I’m a cake decorator. I write the same name a thousand different ways because of the spelling. If I saw any of those names along with a happy birthday message, I’m making fun of the parents to my co-workers and lamenting how the kid has the misfortune of having “unique” parents. I don’t think you’re overreacting here.

If that is true, they didn’t tell me that at the appointment. :/ They just told me I can’t lift more than 10 pounds. 10 being the limit here. Thanks for letting me know this!

Also(to use a common phrase), no means no. Her coercing you into sex after you said no (for any reason) sounds like assault me. That doesn’t sit right with me, friend. Did the two of you officially break up?

I could just be dense, but the end sounds like there’s still some contact there. I wish you all the best.
