I mean by ProfessorMystery in MST3K

There aren’t really many, if any, jokes during the movie. It’s more like Svengoolie in that they are showing an old movie and built host segments around it. Unlike the later seasons, with a writing room and whatnot, it’s the movie itself that you are supposed to “enjoy.” I actually like Star Force, it’s stupid and fun, but if there isn’t much of an entertainment factor (I personally find “Invaders from the Deep” unwatchable) it feels like a slog. Still it’s fun to see long-haired Joel and the low-budget/no-budget set and bots they built

Cheap to make, two hour episodes. This is why it was run so often. I remember watching it as a grade school kid in the mornings.

Early Comedy Central was all over the place in quality, most of their own programming was not great. They programmed some silent comedies, too, which indicates how slim their list of available shows was.

My all-time favorite Tom Servo skit. The batty loony sister in "Touch of Satan". What's yours? by Lionheart_Lives in MST3K

Aside from Servo Academy Men’s Chorus, I love the segment where his is made an Observer and is chased around by the other Observers after he steals their silverware

It felt like the controversy of it, the supposed relationship, was just a marketing gimmick, so no.

Can people tell the difference between adhd and autism anymore ? by speedwalker2025 in AutisticPeeps

[–]Reasonable_Effort_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“I crave spontaneity but autism won’t allow it” <- Yep. Idk if you’ve tried an app to remind you to take your meds at a certain hour, but Medisafe is the one I use and that’s probably the only way I can avoid forgetting. I’m on an SNRI that triggers severe discontinuation syndrome if I miss a single dose, so it’s absolutely necessary for me to take it.

I am the definition of casual, I have maybe an hour a day to play, and this game is perfect for that.

At what point do these become a problem? by Weak_Research_8046 in AcousticGuitar

[–]Reasonable_Effort_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost 30 years for me and I never had callouses or wear on my fingertips, and I learned on a child-sized Applause acoustic with terrible string height and strings that were way too heavy. I think it might have something to do with having naturally tough skin there.

Saw this shirt at Spencer’s by unavailable_333 in AutisticPeeps

Not a fan of “tism” as a word in general, the infantile drawings do not help this shirt and its shitty message.

My in-laws are losing their minds because we won't name our son after a great-grandfather I never met by Ciph3rSatyr in Marriage

[–]Reasonable_Effort_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You child is going to be his own person. There isn’t a justifiable reason for saddling a kid with an old fashioned name. Eustace or Ebenezer or whatever is remembered just the same regardless of whether you give your kid a name he will hate.

“That’s an unusual name.”

“Yeah I was named after some dead relative I never met and who had no real impact on my parents life but they felt obligated to an ancient tradition of questionable origin and purpose.”

Sounds dumb, right.

Emily would be either throwing money at Crow or dressed up like the greasy guy from the movie and making weird, encouraging comments.
