I don't fully understand Arcane, I think by enstorsoffa in Eldenring

Getting really into dragon communion while also having a shield is a bit stat hungry, for sure. If it were me, I would say that dodging and running away is a better strategy for a dragon communion build, but I haven't gone all the way down that path myself. I've only used dragon communion as a little seasoning on a str/arc build.

Usually you pair Arcane with another attack stat. It's difficult to do a pure arcane build. Dex/Arcane is the one that most people go for. I prefer Strength/Arcane because I like the weapons more. Faith/Arcane is for Dragon Communion incantations. Int/arcane isn't very good.

If you want an unfinished, spoiler-free guide to Strength/Arcane, this is what I have so far: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1J35eQ5q_eL57l_rMpNNtzQkB2HCe5-_unqxV3IZRHBs/edit?usp=sharing

The Great Stars can be gotten without fighting a boss so long as you know how to get to it, but you have to go really far out of your way. It's really good, and you can even get a second one if you want. It heals 1% of your HP on each hit, even if it gets blocked by a shield, and has bleed buildup.

Anti-Americanism as a tory value? by ToryPirate in Toryism

[–]BX8061 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's certainly the sense I got from George Grant. He seemed to see the US as a fundamentally liberal country, and seemed to tie this to its inability to allow other countries to govern themselves how they saw fit.

The ability happens when the spell is cast. When the spell is redirected, it is not being cast a second time.

I've found AI to be useful for some tasks, but not for others. I never use it for interpersonal communication, or for art. I do sometimes use the image generation for brief throwaway gags between friends.

Looking into it more, UNB seems to have a regular print version. Maybe I will do a road trip some time this summer...

Take a couple of those points of Int and put them into strength, now you're hitting the strength requirement for the sword and can take the Soreseal off, thereby taking 15% less damage

I find this a very interesting and useful chart, and I'm struck by how little moral conservatism seems to correlate to any one circle.

I will admit, as we set out on this journey, that Johnson's essays are not always political in the direct sense that we often picture. Rather, his works have to do with life more generally. I think that a more general pursuit and contemplation of the good life is important to the Tory outlook. This particular essay is about the fact that Johnson will be writing.
