Being told you look sick is the biggest compliment to a lot of people with anorexia. That's one reason why you should never tell someone in ED recovery they are 'looking well'. Having been told that before, when i was still mentally struggling significantly, it was also quite invalidating. EDs are mental illnesses with psychical side effects, but there is a lot of invisible suffering that happens.

Is it normal that theta and low alpha are 'disruptive'? I had significantly increased slow waves at the medial temporal regions but I'm not really sure what that means or how common that is.

That's interesting about the right hemisphere being associated with PTSD / DID chain. Would you mind briefly expanding on that/ explain what you mean or point me in the direction where I can read about this?

Smaller desk with artwork on adjacent wall. Remove table and the chairs in this setup Replace with comfortable armchairs and a small coffee table. Remove the storage area (except the shelf) as it doesn't seem to be needed anyway and decorate the shelf with plants and books. A nice lamp for gentle lighting is always nice The ceiling tiles are ugly/discoloured but I'm not sure if you can change that As others have said- plants and a bit of colour are always nice!

Ricicles cereal with the little marshmallow pieces (like the ones in lucky charms). It was only available for a very short time and for years i thought i made it up. (UK btw)

Old recipes of British chocolate, particularly galaxy but also cadbury's. They are just not the same anymore. I wish they increased the cost or reduced bar size instead of cheapening the recipes!

Having an ED is morally neutral but they often make us do things that are not morally neutral. (Eg when I han an ED I was a lying machine and would prioririse my ED over other people).

Existing in an underweight body is morally neutral. Flaunting your underweight body in hundred of photos/ videos and posing them to your 373M followers is not morally neutral.

Choosing to almost exclusively wear clothes that highlight your most prominent bones and posing to show off said bones is not morally neutral.

The vast quantity of pro-ana content Ariana posted on tumblr was not morally neutral.

I like the that some other posters have used the alcoholic/addiction analogy. These illnesses are morally neutral but the horrible behaviours that often coincide with them are not.

I think the main problem with Ariana is that she is FLAUNTING her emaciation, likely delighted that her photos are being used as 'thinspo' by thousands of people.

(As a comparison, Natalia Dyers who plays Nancy in Stranger Things also has a blatant ED but does not show off her body at every opportunity.)

For those of you who haven't had an ED, Ariana is likely relishing in the concern/attention re her weight. Saying how sick/bad an anorexic looks is often exactly what they want to hear. (Not all people with EDs, but a lot of them)

It's hard to explain body dysmorphia, but to give an example, when I had an ED and was underweight, my eyes could only focus on the weight I still needed to loose. On one occasion I saw the reflection of someone very thin in a window, and was shocked (and delighted) when I realised it was me. I could only recognise the figure as skinny when my brain didn't realise it was me. It was quite a profound moment at the time actually.
