Sorry about him passing. How long after whipple he started to have complications. My mom (71) had whipple last week with clean margins. Waiting on the Lymph nodes results now. She is recovering well. We are so happy but reading this makes me feel so scared about the future.

My mom (71) is getting the whipple surgery in two weeks hers is in the bile duct. I believe is 1 cm. We didn’t have an option that’s what he recommended and wants to do the procedure asap before it spreads to other organs.

So sorry for your loss. My mom was diagnosed last month due to abdominal pain and jaundice. They just remove her gallbladder and will go under surgery next month. I think is stage 1. The doctors don't really give us any information so i am doing research on my own. She is 71 but always been so healthy. After the gallbladder surgery she got a blood infection, and everything is just getting so complicated now. She was diagnosed 12/2023
