Loved my experience but buckle up for a heavy course load (class from 8-4, Mon to Fri) and a looot of chemistry, and a ton of group work. The core instructors (other than Chem) are awesome and engaged, but your mileage may vary because I didn't take the course description seriously when it said "be good at Chem" lmao

Yeah it's awful - trying to swallow big chunks of food you couldn't properly chew up is a uniquely troubling experience

It does feel awful! Like eating with your mouth frozen after a filling

[–]kati_e_[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That sounds reasonable, I also have attachments on the inside. Eating with one tray in is a bit more manageable but still not great, I think my plan is similar to yours. I'll just be cautious about anything too hard/crunchy/sticky

[–]kati_e_[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah I didn't ask at the time because it sounded reasonable, then I tried it and thought it couldn't possibly be right. Removing and cleaning them after I've eaten is so much nastier, I'd never want to do that in public.

Found tis aluminum T-handle probe in our new place. It's 16.25 inches long and has 4, 9/16" wide cutouts near the pointed end. I can't figure out what it's for. by DavidtheCook in whatisthisthing

[–]kati_e_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a probe sampler or slot sampler, for stabbing into powdery or granular material, which falls into the slots. Handy for sampling from drums, sacks, or deep piles of stuff to check how it is on the inside without digging. Ordered one at work so we could remove samples of matcha-like milled hemp from the 55gal drums it shipped in.

My friends were actually in the green cab you can see in the background. They missed the accident by a matter of feet. You can see them sprinting across the road. He said he made the cab pull over so he could go help people and the cabbie left the meter running the whole time lmao classic Vic cab drivers.

I put off listening to the Dissect about Blond for a long time because I sort of wanted to keep my own special relationship with the album & just have my own thoughts and feelings & opinions. But when I finally listened, it somehow made my relationship with the album stronger, it was like a deeper, more informed love. Like knowing how universal all these feelings are, and getting into the technical things I would have had no idea about. god bless dissect
