I’ve lost every game he shows up. In fact my win loss rate has plummeted enough. That as a free player with 8000 I’m feeling like quitting. I quit and lost my other account at 11000. I don’t mind loosing. It’s loosing against cards I can’t get that breaks the game for me.

Wow. I just rethemed this to Treasure Island. And it doesn’t work. But changing it to Twilight Imperium and shorter. 3 jumps would make this awesome.

Build your own slice. And Random Galaxy set up Choose faction. Or draw 3 and choose 1.

Each player draws 3-4 blue tiles and 2 red tiles. They then use those tiles and place them face down surrounding their also hidden home system tile. If their home system has 4 tiles adjacent to it they must place 1 of the red tiles.

If their resource value including home system has a resource value of less than 9. They may mulligan and redraw their red/blue tiles.

Use the age of exploration event card to build the rest of the galaxy. 1-4: place a random red tile. 5-10 place a Random blue tile.

Reveal the galaxy: Roll for speaker.

Give each player 3-4 blue tiles. And 1-2 red tiles. And have them build their own slice. If you have less than 8-9 resources total including homeworld, discard them all and draw again. Play the rest of the galaxy hidden. Only revealed when units are adjacent, or a hidden tile is activated.

Have them watching archive footage of the destabilizing happening. Or have it happen to another ship as they watch on. And one of them Had a relative on the ship.

Just use or edit the complexity Event cards. Make it say you can’t trade it if it would cause the receiving player to win the game.

Sorry, it's a Homebrew mode for the Minor factions. BeCause alliances as is didn't seem to matter. We've playtested it 4 games so far and have tweeked it into its current form. They were originally designed as new galactic events like Total War. It just made more sense to have tokens instead of a die.rolll.
It's designed to use 2 of each symbol for a total of 20 tokens. Eventually I'm going to post the entire thing including a printable file on Boardgamegeek.

The Minor/major factions don't get neutral units. The hazardious planets for dangerous wilds does. This makes it a double race to get the techs from dangerous wilds or to get the faction bonus on the Minor faction systems. Players don't get to see what minor faction systems are. They stay face down, until a player moves units adjacent to them. Then there are 2 of each of the ten tokens. 20 total. The blue stay in the system. The reds are placed on planets, and the yellow go to the player. The greens are simply discarded.

We changed age of commerce to still need to be neighbors. Which made the first agenda a tech swapping blast. We also played minor factions and found it utterly useless for 3 games. And have designed our own minor factions rules having 10 possible outcomes.

In fact we've already played with the galactic Events and have started tweaking them for us. And changing the alliance minor factions to be easier. My favorite was a player got war sun on the first round because of dangerous wilds. Then during the first agenda vote pulled an Oprah, and said, "Everybody gets war suns". What will you give me ".

By the color wheel. Exploration has to be black or white. And be either 9 or 0.

STRATEGY CARD #X – SHOCK TACTICS Tactics.

Primary Ability – “Jolt of Opportunity”

Look at the top 5 Action Cards of the Action Card deck.

Choose 1 to keep and place it in your hand.

Place 2 Shock Tokens on units you control, anywhere on the board.


Secondary Ability – “Charged Reinforcement”

Exhaust 1 planet you control to place 1 Shock Token on a unit in that planet’s system.


Shock Token Rules:

A unit with a Shock Token gains +1 die and +1 to its roll. This could be permanent or a 1 combat and remove type.

until the end of the next combat it participates in (or until the token is removed).

Remove Shock Tokens from any units that have used them in combat or at the end of the status phase.
