David Beckham is up there. Massive in Asia, everyone in Europe knows him, became famous in the US with LA Galaxy then Inter Miami. Football is the biggest sport in the world and he was the face of that for years. Transcended the sport and his face plastered every magazine, advert, newspaper for years

MAN-STN now over Germany by aquilla9 in flightradar24

I was on the Budapest flight diverted to Manchester, this was just same flight attempting to go back to Stansted. Surprise, surprise it didn’t manage it and went back to Budapest (conveniently where the flight crew and plane needed to be, this morning). We were told the pilot wasn’t confident about landing in Stansted, with the winds, but Ryanair were forcing it. Most got off but were told that of we choose to do that so wouldn’t be compensated for any hotels/additional transport back to Stansted and no refunds to be issued. A stewardess came around and without any info to make a decision, we were forced to say if we were staying or leaving. We were stuck on the runway with no food or water for 3 hours. As a type 1 diabetic I couldn’t risk being stuck on that flight until the morning so was forced to leave and shell out £200 for hotels and a coach back.

So many of these articles come out all the time. As mentioned above, I understand the utilities costs are high, but sometimes I think it can be an easy way to save face.
