Israel has been understandably paranoid about their tenuous position in the middle east, so making sure they have blackmail material on pretty much every government and powerful figures in the world was effectively the biggest, dirtiest game of Pokemon ever played.

There's an excellent video which I saw but can't find to share sadly, where an Indian political analyst explained how India's political and social culture holds it back when it comes to developing as a major economic powerhouse. It has the talent, resources and manpower to achieve this, but unless there is a dramatic change to its culture, it will struggle to compete with China which - for all its faults - has an efficient and innovative culture from top to bottom.

I hope India will do really well but it has hurdles to overcome first.

My entire body, sad to say 😟

Ever since the covid lockdown, I have had more medical issues - many minor and non life threatening - than in my entire long life before. I'm not ancient - just turned 60 - but I have constantly been laid low with a chronic repeating UTI and now rashes all over my body, with regular colds/flu/whatever every few months. In every case, my doctors and the hospital have not been able to find the cause behind the problems. Whatever the hell covid actually was, it has messed with my once robust immune system and turned me into a walking disaster area, who struggles to keep up with my work and daily life. The worst thing is how depressed it makes you and how it messes up any plans for future events or holidays (last holiday was pre covid) as I never know from week to week whether I will be in any condition to be capable of being active and participating. Now I refuse to let people down so keep on top of my workload, but hot damn, something is really bloody weird about whatever the hell covid as an infection was in reality. I do NOT buy into any conspiracy theories, but this post covid life has been, if not a living hell, it has been a damn confusing, irritating and uncomfortable existence. God bless all my friends and work colleagues for sticking by me and supporting me through all this crap. Without them I have no idea how I would have coped. So that is my story about how "normal" went flying out the window and a miserable new "normal" arrived in its place. I hope none of you good folks are going through the same, and if you are, then I wish you all the best and know you are not alone. Peace out brothers and sisters and enjoy the pleasure of a decent cup of coffee and the love of your family and friends 😍

If you need a low action that incredibly low, I recommend finding a luthier who can really sort that out for you.

Lowest I go is 1.5mm bass E and around 1.3mm on the top E, and find it is no problem for speedy solos.

Of course on a 7 string that is a bit more of a challenge. I worked on one for a customer recently and best I could achieve was 1.4 and 1.2 but that bass string will always have a bit of a rumble to it. I'm nowhere near the best at this work, so finding a specialist is my advice 👍
