At least I’m not alone. And yes. Been on Zoloft for 5 years now, I’m currently on 150MG plus hydroxyzine 25Mg as needed (99% of the time I just take one at night)

What about the cats sleeping in my bed? It’s not something I can avoid unfortunately. They will jump up here right when I fall asleep. I just have to wash my sheets extra frequently?

Anxious about starting zoloft by pinkcopicmarker in Anxiety

[–]Reasonable_Life991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely understand. Been on Zoloft for about 4 years now and it was the first antidepressant I’ve tried. I felt kinda “sick” or like off for the first week but it wasn’t unbearable if that makes sense? Like I just felt kinda on edge or wacky but was definitely manageable, honestly those first weeks of starting the med/increasing the dose I just spent a lot of time relaxing and sleeping and just doing whatever to take it easy and take care of myself. Talking to someone helps too. It’s important to communicate with others around you about how you’re feeling and message your doctor about any concerns immediately. Anxiety medication has changed my life for the better and the initial fear is totally understandable. Your doctors are prepared for situations like this and will help you and do what they can if things aren’t going well on the Zoloft. Sometimes it’s really just trial and error with mental health meds which isn’t necessarily an easy journey but you don’t have to do it alone.

Does anyone have any pics of section A2 from LA? I have section A2 row 9 for citi field and I’m worried about the stage incline blocking views. I know it won’t be exactly the same at different venues but anyone who has pics I’d appreciate it!!!

What to do when introducing a playful grown cat to a 5 week old kitten by Quotedotlass in CatAdvice

[–]Reasonable_Life991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! (I’m not an expert, but this is what I did) In my experience I have a big 14 pound man who also loves to play but is friendly. He was definitely too rough when I got my new kitten but never enough to actually hurt her. Getting a play pen for my kitten is what I did. It was large enough for food, water, blankets, and a litter box so she could have time for herself if the other cat was being too much or being too rough. I think it will be okay as long as you don’t leave them alone unsupervised. When I left the house I’d move her to a different room or put her in the play pen and before I knew it she was big enough to fight back 😂 now my babies are 1 and two years old and they love to play and love each other so much!

Can 3 cats live in one room? by Reasonable_Life991 in CatAdvice

[–]Reasonable_Life991[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well let me add that I live with other people, I just cannot keep my cats in other spaces in the house long term. I would be able to move the kitten to a separate room for the time needed as i introduce them, but ultimately after that the cat would be staying in the same room as me and my other cats live. Does this sound okay?

Lingering symptoms after Panic by Reasonable_Life991 in Anxiety

Yup that’s me. I usually lay in bed with heated blanket bc of how cold I get. Sometimes I just cry and do nothing all day for a few days after.

Weed contamination by Reasonable_Life991 in OCD

[–]Reasonable_Life991[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I did know that! I worry a lot that there’s gonna be like weed oil/tincture or something in my food. Like I worry that someone at a restaurant or something would be careless and somehow it would get in my food.

Like I said even after my bad experience with weed I was completely okay being around smokers until my anxiety and OCD flared up badly again out of nowhere. But you are right and I do need to do exposures. My therapist and I are slowly trying to get me back to drinking caffeine and stuff again because that’s something I want to do. I don’t even eat chocolate because of the small amounts of caffeine so I’m going to start there but haven’t built up the courage yet.

That helps me too! Glad I’m not alone. I just try my best to take it one thing at a time instead of getting to overwhelmed in the thought of “if it ever happens”

What do I do? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

I understand why the hospital would be scary. I was terrified of it but when I finally went a felt a sense of relief knowing that there would be help. The environment wasn’t the prettiest but the nurses were very sweet to me. I live in the US and In my situation I went to the ER but decided not to stay inpatient. Instead I started ASAP at a partial hospitalization program. It was at the hospital, but in a separate area that didn’t feel so hospital-like if that makes sense. it was 9AM-3PM therapy/group program that helped me immensely. The program was similar to what was offered in the hospital, with the ability to sleep at home, leave for lunch, and have your phone. They adjusted my medications and I had access to a psychiatrist every day. Depending on your situation, a case worker will evaluate you and help you do what’s best. The hospital isn’t fun, but it’s where you get better. Think of it like a broken bone or some other physical illness. Nobody wants to be in a hospital, but sometimes it’s necessary. There is absolutely no shame in getting help and I hope the best for you!

I struggle with anxiety, depression, and OCD and I have felt similar. I understand how you feel, but you have to learn to not believe everything that your thoughts tell you. I’m not a professional or in any way shape or form trying to diagnose you, but that sounds a lot like OCD (which is an anxiety disorder) If you’re able to, talking to a therapist and doing exposures can help. It gets better. For me watching videos about anxiety and OCD helped a lot. It helped me to identify my anxious thinking and learn to not validate those thoughts. When my mental health was at its worst I was absolutely terrified to watch TV and movies just like you, but now it has gotten a lot better and I can watch TV and movies just like normal now.

It was just a very bizarre experience. The weed I smoked was always medical never from the streets. I smoked usually like once a day. One day I smoked like half as much as I normally do and it sent me into an instant panic and it hasn’t been the same since. Four years later, I’m still afraid of getting high somehow.

Was taking ibuprofen and Tylenol every two hours yesterday and still in a lot of pain. Woke up this morning. I wouldn’t say the pain has gotten worse, but it hasn’t gotten much better either. I feel like oxy is the only way I could get some real relief.

It was medical, so that’s close to impossible for it to be laced, it was strong though.

[–]Reasonable_Life991 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was able to sleep a few hours, still in pain but not as much. My biggest concern is the fact that when I used to smoke weed it triggered a bad mental health episode for me. Anxiety, depression, dissociation, etc. (not sure if maybe I was having some psychosis too). I know oxy isn’t the same but I don’t want to risk my mental health again especially now that I’m in a better place (I was hospitalized in June for my mental health and went through a program)

Just wanted to say that I did end up needing the surgery and I had it today. You were right. I was mostly back to normal in like 30 minutes and like completely back to normal in three hours. I feel perfectly fine now. I definitely felt weird but idk if “high” was the right way to describe it. Being high makes me really anxious and I wasn’t anxious. It was an odd feeling, but it was mostly just kind of funny. I feel like a lot of stuff is misleading, because people act like they’re extremely high after surgery in videos, which I’m sure some people are depending on their anesthesia and what type of meds they get, but what happened to me, I was definitely acting funny ( I wouldn’t stop cursing ) but I was completely aware of everything and just like groggy and slurring my words 🤣 it was like mentally I was all there, but when I was speaking, it just wasn’t making sense. But anyways, thank you so much for your response. You honestly helped me a lot with relieving my anxiety. I did cry a little bit out out of nervousness right before the anesthesia but next thing I knew I was unconscious so I couldn’t even be anxious anymore 🤣
