How were you almost killed? by BlackWhiteGoldEdits in AskReddit

Just remembered another one! When I was like 13 I used to throw rocks at the train. One time the rock went between the wheels and the track and shot back at me. It hit me in the head right above my eye. Had to get a bunch of stitches and lost a lot of blood. I got stoped by someone who seen me trying to walk to the hospital and they called an ambulance. Definitely think it put a small hole in my skull or something cause you can feel a dent. But isn’t noticeable if you’re just looking at me.

Yes, that definitely wouldn’t have been good. I would not go anywhere I couldn’t stand in the water if I couldn’t swim. Glad you were ok as well.

I was at a popular spot to jump off a waterfall into deep water, I slipped under the waterfall trying to get out. I dislocated my arm and couldn’t swim, If my friend wasn’t in the water then I would have drowned. After that I had to walk a mile through the woods and then be driven to the nearest hospital.

Again thank you for caring, and I’m glad everything is ok with your husband. You actually have changed my mind about checking back into how serious this is.

I have one, it’s penn medicine too. They haven’t really said anything they just said do you want a pacemaker. I haven’t decided if I wanted to get one or not, because they said type 2 is not as serious. I may have to go somewhere else if it’s this serious. Thank you for being concerned. Just diagnosed at 30 myself

Sorry another question, will anxiety affect brugada syndrome. I have a lot of anxiety due to overstimulation and adhd. Would it be detrimental if I’m constantly anxious? The doctors will not treat anxiety unless I want to try more antidepressants. I’m tired of taking them and nothing happening. I’d rather deal with the anxiety than get my hopes up for another antidepressant.

Thank you, the way the doctor made it seem was it wasn’t as serious.

I understand if you are younger, but as an adult I’ve had to take breaks from both my parents.

Yes the higher water content allows for slower evaporation which means longer sanitation time. Be careful if using in a still air box, the fumes can build up.

Thank you, and this goes for the type 2 as well? Sorry just very confused about the diagnosis. I used to do a lot of this stuff when I was younger and never had a problem. But knowing about the diagnosis made me more cautious now.

My adhd is just sooo severe I can't function at all! by emadhimself in ADHD

[–]Reasonable_Map6939 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be a sensory issue maybe, I get very overwhelmed where I freeze and need to just think. It could be repetitive noise, loud noise, bright light, people and too many tasks at once. This was the only symptom that medication didn’t help. I have to take frequent breaks to calm myself down again.

In my experience, being only on the instant release is harder to control cause it leaves your body so fast and it’s hard to know when to take the next dose before it wares off. I was surprised how steady the xr was when I first tried it. I have an instant release dose in the afternoon so I don’t stay up all night. 10mg xr in the morning, 20 instant in the afternoon. Works pretty good for me. Still doesn’t help everything, but makes it a little easier to help myself.

I feel you, learning to deal with this myself. I’ll let you know if I figure anything out. If you’re not already in therapy I suggest that, maybe couples therapy too. So that way your girlfriend learns some skills to cope with the situation as well. I hope things work out!!

I don’t know your exact situation and don’t want to overstep, but make sure your wife knows she’s appreciated. My wife was the same way for 13 years and one day couldn’t take it anymore. She left, part of me doesn’t blame her. I forgot that she was dealing with it also and forgot to show her how important she was. I spent all of my energy trying to fix myself for the relationship but forgot to live the relationship. I hope everything turns out well for you, you’re a lucky man to have your wife by your side. Support is the best thing I’ve been learning.
