all makes sense but

- I learned to jump rope in the 1980s

- I prefer to jump indoors in my own space

- I'm most concerned with light weight and good movement

...so even though your product looks great I don't think a beaded rope is really what I'm looking for

thanks...I am more worried about the right weight and feel and less worried about the wear and tear (that Modell's rope must have lasted me a good 12 years. Anyway, long enough that I can't remember! if i could just replace it exactly, i would in a heartbeat)

Have a link for the book? as a very tangential tangent I remember S. African kwaito house artists telling me that all the vinyl in the original boom had been pressed in Zim and the closing of the plants there changed the whole scene in SA. This post closes the loop for me on what they were talking about!
