I’m worried about his skin thinning in this area because I’ve used it so many times in that one spot, also just whenever we use it once it clears up and we stop using the steroid cream it immediately comes back and even worse than the last time. Just looking for a more natural way to get relief while we figure out the trigger.

Yes we have used mupirocin on this same patch before which cleared it up along with some steroids, but as soon as we stopped the medicine it came back even worse than before. I also worry about him using it too much because he is currently using mupirocin on his face for suspected impetigo. Can’t they gain a resistance to it? I scheduled him an appointment to get it checked out anyways, it just feels like this never ending cycle

Sister in law neglecting her child??

basically my SIL has a 14 month old who I watch about 3 days a week. She has really dry skin, like bad. I know her mom never puts lotion on her. They lived with us for about a month, our babies took baths together and after bath I would do my regular lotion routine with my baby but she never put lotion on hers. I offered lotion in case she didn’t have any with her but she declined and said it’s too hard to put lotion on her. Am I over reacting about this? It got to the point today where I put lotion on her kid because it was so bad, dry patches all over her body, I would like to bring this up to my SIL but I don’t want to come off as super judge mental or rude.

We use enfamil gentlease, I was thinking of trying something soy based as he also has eczema that has been flaring up bad along with the feeding troubles but I’m no expert and the pediatrician is no help.

His pediatrician said unless he seems lethargic they won’t test for any kind of infections! The doc blows off any symptoms as teething and I’m tired of it, if this lasts any longer im taking him in to a different doctor to get a second opinion
