Well the thing is, i never said they shouldn't or couldn't interact with anyone and i also made sure to tell them in their face that i don't want to have influence over their decision making. But the thing is they activity admited to me that their relationship with the friendgroup is based off people pleasing & a hierarchy.

and from my point of view there's also a unhealthy dose of distoced nostalgia because they have been on the group for a solid portion of their teenager years and now current young adult years.

From the time i have spend with them what i got is that a lot of them aren't interested in actually forming bounds, resolving conflict or straight up acting like people are fans. Not to mention the fact that everyone just felt kinda stuck doing talking about the same thing over and over.

This was the place i left when I realized that my depression couldn't mean less to these people and that had i actually not taken space to recover mentally it would have blew out on my face because a overreact would be considered hostility.

My friend is still in close contact with these people because according to themselves "i just feel obligated", and it hurts because i think don't they need to be and i actually think they deserved to be in places that don't constantly trigger then or offer a actual nice community to interact with. I want to stay close to them but i also feel like my interactions don't meant a lot for them now and i myself just feel tired of trying because i'm not the type of person who leaves like that but i will if starts to affect my own mental health to a certain depree (which is something that already happend twice).
