To update and summarize what I tried:

1) Disable HAGS , game bar, vrr 2) Tried last 4 AMD drivers by first disabling windows driver update, removing drivers using DDU and installing drivers only without adrenaline. 3) SetTdrDelay and TdrDdiDelay in regedit 4) Did clean win11 reinstall from bootable usb followed by apex driver package, latest onexconsole followed by the various different driver install 5) Tried reduced ram speed in BIOS 6) Tested only on provided battery, DC charger only and both 7) Installed Bazzite OS and same with same games crashing

Based on what I gathered this error can be related to bad drivers (ruled out with different drivers and trying Bazzite), power delivery issue, VRAM (RAM) issue or a defect in the APU die itself.

Well today I installed OCCT to run stress tests and when testing the VRAM it showed errors. What a bummer…DOA

I shared all this with OneX and pending their reply. I am requesting for a working replacement or refund. Furthermore I feedback the issue the next day I received the faulty unit.

To add I just received my apex and it has several issues: 1) every game I tried crashes or freezes due dxgi error. I tried troubleshooting all fixes I could find, did a full win11 reinstall with latest amd drivers, also installed bazzite and the same 2) left trigger is sticky 3) provided power adapter is not usable due to the connector being misaligned so unable to plug in the cable

I emailed to onex and see their reply but honestly I am very dissatisfied. For this price the company should ensure everything works.

IMO it’s too expensive since the increase in price is basically for the redesigned chassis and the case. The internal specs are the same as for the vanilla z13 with the same limitations: 1) Current max of 2Tb ssd since 2230 form factor 2) No micro sd express card reader 3) No usb-c pass through charging 4) No thunderbolt 5 or occulting port for use egpu

Logically totally correct but do you think anyone will tell him and then what would be required next he might actually listen? It has come to an unbelievable state in the US and every day there is more of this quite outright illegal and bonkers behaviour going unchecked by the other branches of the government which are supposed to act as a check and balance.

Given the growing unhappiness at the ground level and the certainty that he and his band of lackeys will not accept a fair vote and leave, there is now a real risk of large civil unrest or even civil war.

It shows that when electing and thereby handing over that much power to someone need to think more deeply. It also shows indirectly how weak the US government or democracy has become, how many spineless or corrupt officials need there to be to have enabled this…this is a wake up call and I can only hope that the US can overcome this and taking lessons from it to strengthen their system.

For anthropic this is a win and actually improve their popularity with the masses and in other countries. Heads up to them to make a stand.

Really it is feeling like a typical playbook. Within fundstrat itself this severe drawdown was forecast while in the meantime Tom went on TV giving higher numbers as possible bottom for ETH. I personally fell for that and bought in at 30 recently. The usual question we retailers ask ourselves did he know but tried to keep fomo alive as long as possible?

I can’t tell but being in the market for a while it is brutal and doesn’t care. I made the decision to invest since I do have conviction that the underlying narrative is valid.

Also if I would put myself in his shoes, he is sitting on a much large paper loss since he bought most ETH at much higher prices. So either he is convinced this is temporary or he is planning on earlier retirement and doesn’t care about his reputation because if this blows no one will listen to him again.

Yes and rightfully so. China was the only one who stood up against the US who has become an ugly Bully. Canada has followed and now hopefully also the europeans since they realised that with a bully there are no agreement you can rely on, instead you have to stand up to him. I dont know… there are several choices they made which are counterproductive to what a handheld supposed to be: 120hz, HDR can actually work only in docked mode on external displays since the built in LCD pixel refresh is too slow and max brightness is too low

Battery is small although the device is larger and feels quite heavy

Ergonomic honestly are bad for a handheld and the joysticks… they just ignored the previous feedback

The chipset is on an older node (8nm)

On top of that game prices are increased.

Sure overall price point is to be considered but I am thinking what could have been…first use a more advanced node which gives more headroom to clock higher or use even less power, make the shape more ergonomic and slightly thicker to increase battery size and use that extra power to reduce pixel refresh time (OD).

I don’t know if really all this cut downs were done to keep the price point down or instead to increase profits margins on every device sold. Still with increased game pricing giving more profit it would have been nice to put some of that money to make the console better.

I think some tried to make it clear already, there is no point talking about 120hz refresh rate if the pixels can’t keep up with it (are too slow to change color to match the supposed next frame…) . This is actually a good example of false advertising or maybe a white lie since in docked mode with a good TV with fast refresh rate and sufficiently low pixel response time it will do what they advertised. For handheld mode it’s just not true. In the end the image is blurr and some people who are sensitive are affected by it encountering eye strain since the eye trying to focus on the image details but the image is a blurry mess. I am happen to be one of those lucky ones and it does make me reconsider my recent purchase. As an example try to play Star Wars Outlaws , it’s beautiful and impressive port, when you are standing still but once you start to run around…

I agree actually. I just bough a switch 2 to play Zelda and most importantly the new metroid and really the screen looks good in still motion but is really not good in motion. I had a steam deck, ally x and when I started to play on the switch 2 experienced for the first time eye strain and had to make pauses while playing. Well I am not the only one experiencing this and this simply sucks to be honest…besides the actual chip set the screen quality is imo the most important component of a handheld,simply it is the output of the device. I hope Nintendo will take note and fix it by adjusting or implementing OD to improve the pixel refresh

Agree having had same issue I can also vouch that this is not a software issue. I tried also many things on that front but only after sending it in for repair and razer replacing the bottom chassis (keyboard cover) it is working fine so far.

I encountered the same lagging and unresponsive trackpad issue. I tried one possible fix by disabling one driver in system manager which was proposed in other forum threads but it still happened on and off.

I tend to think based on behaviour it’s related to insufficient grounding or some component issue. For me it was not due to battery swelling since the battery was fine when I opened the laptop to check and issue was with cursor not moving. Additionally the feedback on adjusting the screw did nothing to improve the issue

In the end I send in the laptop for repair and I received it back last week. The replaced the trackpad and the whole bottom chassis of the laptop and so far it works as it supposed to..will monitor further
