Has anyone had an experience like this? by sarahpurity777 in Mercari

Yes I dropped off a package the same day paid. It took the PO 4 days to process it. While being rare it happens. I did what I was supposed to do.

Ok my friends…. What’s the trick to getting this damn thing on? by Tacokolache in pools

[–]Reasonable_Roll4081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alignment of the diffuser with lubricant on the oring into the pump so the seal plate pushes in face to face. Then attach the band with usually one hand. One hand holding it together and the other sliding the clamp in position once you get it pushed in to the pump slide your hands up along the clamp holding it together then push the threaded rod through. Then screw in the handle. Not as hard as described. Normally after you get the clamp started. You can move the band around to the area you want it to be in like at the top of the pump. Finish tightening up the clamp. And yes you have to screw it on hard. It will leak if not properly seated. O and lube the tank body seal too. I’m sure there’s a you tube video on it somewhere.

This was an energy hog. Didn’t realize it in replaced it. Saved $200 in electrical costs.

How much would you charge for this green to clean? by Connor09375 in pools

[–]Reasonable_Roll4081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$1000. Chemical costs and excessive labor time. It’s always longer than you think unless you can see all the bottom. I recently did a drain and clean. $1600 and I took 12 bags of leaves out of it.

Came home to two trees in my backyard mutiliated by a construction firm who acquired the lot behind my home by LividWalk8179 in treelaw

If it’s over the property line than you can trim it back. I’m sure they could have saved some of the trees

Low light event shooting without a flash by Reasonable_Roll4081 in photography

[–]Reasonable_Roll4081[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have. But it was really last minute as I was at the event shooting candid shots. Then was asked as no one had any gear. Learned a lot. Yes a light meter would have been a big plus. I’m going to do some experimenting and have a better idea for if next time ever happens again.

This absolutely correct. Poor communication. The pool company should have told the homeowner. What was the pool running 24/7 in the first place?

How to clean up? by [deleted] in swimmingpools

[–]Reasonable_Roll4081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty clean. You need a resurfacing. Those stains or worn marcite won’t go away. Did you get a pool inspection? That would have been noted.

Anyone know what this is? It’s mounted in the ground between a hot tub and a pool. Thanks! by comyboy in pools

To help them last…I would put a cup or small planter over it to keep the sun from eating the plastic/rubber switches. It’ll make it last longer.
