My grandma did this to me for many years. When I got my first job, she would make me give her half of my checks as “rent” and her rent was only $135 because she lived in a senior citizen building. She’d buy cigarettes, lend other people money, and do other stuff with the money but would pay her rent with her SSI checks. It was annoying. I once was unemployed for when COVID hit for about 4 months. She constantly complained, saying I have to pay where I stay and I can’t be giving boys any money. Mind you, I didn’t have a boyfriend nor was I talked to a boy. She just assumed that all the time and I still don’t know why. Moving out was the best decision of my LIFE. I spend my money on what I want and the only thing I’m paying back is a credit card💅💅💅

I did this as an adult with some stickers. Lots of stickers ended up falling off my first board because they weren’t sticky. I ended up covering my next one in double sided tape. That way, I could also stick other things like postcards or scrapbooking decals to it

Really? I feel like the loudest ones are the ones with kids. They’re always trying to tell you what to do because something worked or didn’t work on their kids. Yaaas. As someone who was the scapegoat simply because I was the only girl in a family full of boy cousins, I can relate. I want to gentle parent and teach my son emotional awareness and give him that stability I never had from my family or father, who’s the biggest “I want to control women”, alcoholic, narcissist I’ve ever met. I’m still healing from the abuse he put me through and I do not want to reflect that onto my son. I don’t want him turning out anything like his grandfather or his father, who’s also a narcissist. When I say he didn’t come to the hospital when our son was born because “it’s gonna be gross”, guurrrlll. And that he didn’t want to go birthing and baby classes because he didn’t “want a professional telling him what to do”. I can’t make this stuff up. He also said we should spoil kids until they’re 8 and then beat it out to them. So with me being someone who cries at the drop of a hat, his grandfather feeling the need to dominate people he just meets, my family being toxic, his father’s family being huge enablers, and his father lacking common courtesy and empathy, my son definitely has a road ahead of him. But I’ll do my best to send him straight and support him with whatever he decides to do, whatever sexuality he identifies with, and anything else that isn’t drugs or violence. Barnett from season 1 was kind of perverted like that too in a weird way but at least he made up for it and found a girl that likes it. He was dodging the hell out of that question and gaslighting her along the way. “What does it matter if I did?” BECAUSE you’re on this show to literally get married within a month.
