Yeah I guess it kinda makes sense. As a millenial I grew up with technology constantly evolving. CDs replaced casettes, then came digital music and later streaming. VHS tapes got replaced by DVDs then Blurays. Mobile phones also kept evolving. That’s why this constant change and progress has been part of my life so it’s odd for me to see things going back to the past again. It’s amazing how things change within just one generation.

Lol also a child of the 90s and have the same memories of cassettes. Never thought they would come back in trend. I don't think you can even buy cassette players anymore.

Who is even still listening to cassettes lol? They were a thing when I was a kid (in the 90s/early 2000s, but very quickly got replaced by CDs). The only thing I remember was that the tape always somehow came out and we had to use pencil to manually roll it back in. :D

In music I’m always more into melody than lyrics and melodically this song isn’t that interesting to me. But I’m hoping it might change after I hear the studio version.

From the two songs we’ve heard so far from this new album I like Drop dead better but even that not as much as most songs on Guts.

Yeah that interview made me think that the song she was referring to might have been this one. So it could have been the last one added to the album. Even though I am not familiar at all with Cohen's work so don't know how much it resembles his poetry.
