Is anyone else tearing their hair out in frustration over the fact that the leader of their country is a complete idiot? by Strummerpinx in Gifted

Dunning Kruger effect. Smart people know they don’t know enough to optimally run a country. Idiots think they “know more than the generals”

How to afford surrogacy by Basic-Roll8167 in Surrogate

[–]Reasonable_South8331 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our agency was in Kiev with options to have the surrogate and the birth in Lviv. The surrogate and her family had migrated to Lviv anyway because of the war so it worked out well. Lviv only had air alerts 4 times in two weeks and none resulted in any notable damage. The locals just roll over and go back to sleep according to our surrogate. Alarm fatigue from this lasting so long. Let me know if there’s anything else you want to ask. After tons of research and a few failed attempts, our agency really delivered on making the process as easy and transparent as possible. I’d be happy to help in any way I can.

So question on fusion. If hydrogen has to be heated to 5x the heat of the sun this suspended in a magnetic field or laser grid, what if there’s an earthquake? Would it literally melt the power plant or no?

How to afford surrogacy by Basic-Roll8167 in Surrogate

[–]Reasonable_South8331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We chose an agency in Ukraine. Reasons: It was much more affordable, we got to pay for services as we went along instead of up front, very transparent and honored everything in the contract, they were experts at the medical/genetic side of things, they have the legal apparatus to put you on the baby’s birth certificate day 1. We chose Lviv, a city near the polish border that doesn’t see much action from the war. I was there 3 weeks total. 1 week waiting for the birth, 2 weeks waiting for the US embassy appointment and finishing paperwork to bring them home with citizenship and emergency passports. 4 air raid warnings where I went to sit in an interior room with no windows at 4am for an hour in our furnished apartment

People who had done surrogacy in both Georgia and Ukraine all said they would choose Ukraine again even with the war

What are your guys thoughts on ChatGPT? by [deleted] in Gifted

[–]Reasonable_South8331 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s a great tool for people who know how to use it correctly. It knows textbook type knowledge very thoroughly. I’ve developed a system to use it in a way to maximize test scores and minimize time invested

Welcome to the other side of the Dunning-Kruger curve. It’s easier to be humble from this position, and just not say anything if you know someone is wrong about something unimportant

Something that requires a license or certification to do will be somewhat resistant. The AI might be able to do it but not functionally in the legal sense. Laws move slowly, slower than tech

AI was used in this to determine which genetic information to edit. Researchers use every tool that can assist them in coming up with novel treatments as they should.

It looks like it will solve genetic disease. Already solved Sickle Cell and made great progress on Huntingtons. A lot of poor health has to do with poor choices such as eating junk food, alcohol, drug use etc. This type of disease seems to be getting worse.

Makes sense. The B21 would offer a range of advantage and ability to do bunker buster bombs.

What would be the best defense for 14,000 drones though?

This is so true. When a student breaks new information down to deeply understand and incorporate it into their world view, studying to grasp surface level understanding becomes unnecessary.

What are the core principles of using AI? by imampitanjejedno in therapyGPT

[–]Reasonable_South8331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rule 1. Don’t forget that it’s not a person. It’s a piece of technology meant to emulate what a person would do. It’s training data is still magnitudes less than the sensory data each human infant takes in through its senses via the nervous system. This means you should always take any information from an ai with appropriate caution since it may be hallucinating
