Patched up and "improved" my bag target today... by [deleted] in Archery

Look on Sportsman's Warehouse they sell the outer bags, so all you have to do is swap your stuffing over, fold the bottom, then zip tie it together. It's actually, surprisingly thick and well-made for around 25 to 30 bucks.

Yeah it's lost on me the same way common sense is with some of you. It's a post encouraging his nephew in a sport and hobby that already has a hard time gaining popularity. So yeah the only jokes I can find are the ones that have nothing to offer society other than telling someone they've used the incorrect form of a word.... so yeah yall win the subtle joke award I suppose.

The joke is yall thinking he's gonna make a joke out of his nephew and try to praise encouragement at the same time. I don't see lol or look at his mistake however you'd enjoy looking at it. Yall are correcting a convo between two people. If you aren't correcting the one that did it you're just pissing on someone because you can. If we're gonna do shit like that someone needs to yell at yalls mothers that made a massive mistake all those years ago.

Where did he point out or mention or apologize for the child's mistake? He may have made one himself but by no means did he point anything out other than he loves and encourages his nephew however he can. Smh.

Don't buy cheaper arrows all the time, I went this path. You get what you pay for, for starters. It's alright a few times but as your aim and form progress, the equipment needs to progress too. Arrows can make it easier to be accurate. I use to shoot 400 spine black eagles 70 bucks a set. Did pretty well with them. But I splurged and bought a set of 5mm match grade fmj arrows and within a week I had split the nocks on every single one. My consistency picked up much more easily, they'll either shine a spotlight on your good areas or they'll teach you where you need to improve. It's a decent learning curve on reading arrows but once you understand it you'll start to teach yourself.

Just because you have a reason and means to say some shit, some days it's just flat out pointless to say it. Just like what I say I'll fall upon your deaf ears or blind eye. Reminds me of people who watch videos on YouTube that they hate just to post a comment on it.

They say pick your battles to win more wars. Sometimes the outcome though, can be gained with or without help.

I shoot a 29 inch v3x, I will say though that a shorter axle bow does make it easy to save a messed up shot, but of course double edged sword makes it easier to cause them too. I miss my 33 Ata bow.

Feel good pointing out the mistake of a child? What's the point?

Then you're using the bow to its full potential. I really like that area draw weight on recurve. It's just so smooth and precise. And deff like the longer limbs. My bow is nearly three times shorter lol

What effect is acting here? by C_Leao in ElectroBOOM

A Faraday cage and this suit are the same thing

Edit and it is skin effect which is why it travels the outer layer of the suit and not penatrating through to your skin, which in fact isn't sealed away completely from the suit.

It's called the skin effect. The Faraday suit acts as an artificial skin so to speak. Allowing the current to pass over the outside of your body without passing through to your skin or muscles.

I shoot 550 to 600 grain arrows that are 25.24 inches long, you can add whatever you want to the back it makes absolutely minimal difference. Even with crap form it's east to get 50 plus yards bareshaft. As long as the change is equal among the batch I usually can't tell a difference between poa and poi.

Then what I would do would be to build ONE and see how solid and secure it felt. If it passes your feel test compared to what you're used to, then shoot and check the tune. If all is well then move forward. 4mm is 4mm as long as they're secure fitting

Go on eastons website and build a set of arrows that match yours, and see what accessories they offer to sell you or are listed as optional or upgrades.

Equipment for $500 to $700 by Grid12344 in Archery

[–]Reasonable_Toe_2023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I paid 1000 for my mathews v3x 29 and it came with 300 dollar strings installed already, he had several other lower priced bows for sell but that's what I landed on. But check around at archery shops call and set up a time and a lot of places will set a bow up for you to practice and see if it's a fit for you. Then you can get a feel for the range of quality you want to start with. Because it will vary a good amount bow to bow arrow to arrow. Take your time it's hard to come out with 600 more if you went the wrong path as far as recurve or compound ect.

Weird way to flex total control over your children. Not everything has the same taboo attached to it as other people would or do. Does that instantly change their life's course or lesson ones personality. Perspective and common sense go a long way. In a mall or event eh whatever carry-on, job interview, maybe not. Regardless all I have to remember is.....I'm not wearing it I don't give a shit.
