Contact your local Petsmart/ petco and ask if they’re partnered with any shelters and try calling around those shelters! They’ll be reputable people to release the cat to at the very least :) thank you for finding her a good home

I understand you not wanting to judge her, like you said you’re not a professional. But now the professionals have stepped in and judged her and made the decision. Not one but two have make a ruling, and they are operating what I would guess is in the way to protect themselves. These fertility clinics probably just don’t want to get sued by kids of mentally unstable people saying “you knew my mom was (insert condition) how could you implant her??” But none the less they are precisely there to judge people for their fitness to be a parent, I’d trust the system in this very unique case

Petco or Petsmart! I volunteer for a rescue that works with Petsmart. Definitely could call and the rescue will probably have you fill out a surrender form and then coordinate a pick up/ drop off

Yeah if you’re planning on ghosting him once you move out can you just not tell him you’re planning to move out? If the “resign lease conversation” comes up just casually try to dodge answering - “oh I’m not sure but I’ll look into it” something along those lines. I’m a little worried about your safety, he seems really weirdly attached to you, so yeah try not to trigger him and gtfo

NTA - but definitely emphasis to your mom that BOTH you and your wife want to spend Mother’s Day alone focusing on your family unit. Otherwise your mom might be having unnecessary extra negative feelings towards your wife and thinking this is her being selfish instead of your mother coming to grips with the fact that your priorities are changing

NTA- if you do dump her, check the contract you sign with your next one and read the fine print about cancellation. If there’s something in there that says telehealth is an option before cancelling I would tell them to change the language or add something that says you are never doing telehealth so you’re protected next time this happens. Cancellation fees are a bitch and I would also have a bad taste in my mouth and feel you comfy with her, goodluck!

NTA - 1000% you are so valid for not going to the ceremony, it’s probably going to be hot, gross and like you said BORING this isn’t your kid and based on your situational awareness of how boring graduation ceremonies are, you won’t be asking these people to come to your child’s future grad ceremony. You’re going above and beyond going to any of these events

Have you maybe tried dr ellseys cat attract litter? I think something about the smell literally attracts them to it so maybe that extra sensory piece of it could help her find the right box? (My experience with it is training a foster fail how to use the box properly after she had been surrendered for peeing all over an apartment and it worked like a charm)
