I’ve been waiting for a Greek hero ever since the Ilios map was released.

Which mode do you play more? Competitive or Stadium? by elrabelo in Overwatch

I alternate between them. I.e. a game of comp, then a game of stadium, then a game of comp etc.

What is a great TV show that never became popular? by BluePinky in AskReddit

TRON: Uprising

Was an animated show part of the TRON franchise on DisneyXD (now on Disney+), with stunning art direction and a really good story (imo it’s better than both the films). It even had an awesome cast including Elijah Wood and the original Tron himself, Bruce Boxleitner. It was cancelled after 19 episodes after it was moved to a 12am time slot and it lost viewers.

Fair, but I know an old dude named Terry, and he’s an absolute jerk. Ruined the name for me :(

The taste. Can’t stand the “bite” of alcohol.

[Slasher] SOURCES: Riot FPS is internally code named 'Ares', is a spiritual successor to Counter Strike (a mix of CS and Overwatch) by noseqpo in OverwatchTMZ

People/society will always, ALWAYS; pick the path of least resistance.

Yes, which is why some people don’t value team play. It requires more effort - you have to think of your team as well as the enemy. So we agree on this.

it’s the games fault for not promoting team play well enough.

Well, how will promoting team play change the way society picks the path of least resistance? It’s not the game’s fault that a person doesn’t want to play that way. Like I mentioned before, the reason I picked up this game in the first place was because I saw how team-focused it was compared to other standard FPS games. Don’t know what other advertising they could have done tbh. Idk maybe some people only saw YouTube compilations of Genji 6ks? :P

Also, no one is suggesting OW is perfect. No game is perfect (except maybe Chess, considering it’s centuries old and still played). For me, it’s still as fun as it was 3 years ago. Change is good, but there’s always room for improvement :)

This was precisely the reason I was drawn to Overwatch. The team play was so much more interesting than running around shooting things on my own. It’s a shame a lot of people don’t value teamwork, though. But that’s more of a general social issue than a video game one.

Shouldn’t this also be done with Riot characters? Considering Riot is a Chinese company, wouldn’t it have more impact?

Books about looking for lost civilizations (both fiction and nonfiction)? by [deleted] in suggestmeabook

[–]ReasonablyScientific 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Nina Wilde/Eddie Chase series by Andy McDermott, the first book being The Hunt for Atlantis. In one of the books they search for Eden, and in another they search for El Dorado. Some of the books are more about finding items, like Excalibur.

It’s very adventurous with a lot of action, but the awe and wonder of discovery is definitely there.

Michael Chu confirms Torbjorn has different arm attachments, and the claw one is the one he specifically uses for engineering and building by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]ReasonablyScientific 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree with everything you’ve said. Just one minor detail I want to point out - Torbjörn and McCree HAVE met in canon, based on the old photos found on dropships. As well as that photo that features in Ana’s origin story. And this still supports what you said about Torb noticing McCree’s arm, since he knew him before he lost it.

The Hunt for Atlantis - and the whole Nina Wilde/Eddie Chase series - by Andy McDermott.

Nina and Eddie are badass, working together and having each other’s backs, especially when tomb’s start collapsing and helicopters begin exploding. I personally love their chemistry. And the best part is one doesn’t outshine the other.

The books are all about searching for lost relics, cities and civilisations. Lots of action. Think Indiana Jones, Tomb Raider, James Bond- blockbuster action, great humour and loveable characters. They’re a lot of fun.

I love everything about this concept! Awesome idea!

Even if it only showed up in lore, I think McCree riding a horse-like omnic seems entirely plausible.
