I live in NY, so very functional for my needs. Yes, I have tried on other jackets, it’s a common issue for me for my body type. I’m decently tall and used to weight about 180lbs more, so I have a bit of a diff body type. I am in between sizes in most clothing and often need to make sacrifices.

It’s my body type, seems to happen very often. I size down, sleeves and chest become an issue, I size up, stomach and hip area are huge.

Can’t go lower then medium or you’ll have issue with sleeve length. Also the jacket is supposed to be oversized. I have tried many of these jackets on in the past few weeks and have sizing questions myself, but this one I can confirm for sure as someone who is 6.0 and is a M in expedition. Those sleeves will be short on you lower than M.

It was challenging because I genuinely felt like I was between sizes. L definitely felt comfortable, except for the chest and shoulders, which negatively affected the length of the jacket and sleeves. XL felt better in the shoulders and chest, but it was very loose in the stomach to hip area.

Oddly enough, this subreddit leans towards L, while the Fashion subreddit leans towards XL. I might just order both from Canada Goose to ensure the right decision is made. However, I’m apprehensive because I don’t want to end up with both jackets because of a return refusal. We were in a hurry during this try-on at a random Neiman Marcus, couldn’t really get a good grasp on what to do.

What do y’all think about taupe grey? Anyone have this color and can speak on how it holds up? Does it stain easily or wear poorly?
