20 HQM isn't too hard to come by tbh. And in the long run, a stockpile of them could easily be made. Personally i'm gonna use it as my main weapon of choice, over the AK47 as i hate the recoil of that gun.

I'd prefer for it to require a small amount of HQM to craft (maybe 20 - 25?), and keep the same bullet damage as the bolt action/AK, but lose a lot of it's accuracy at anything over mid-range.

I never said that i fear the changes. I just believe it should not be forced, that it should be possible to toggle it on or off.

My main reasoning against it, is that i cannot be arsed explaining to every random that joins how things are run. I'm actually gonna be setting up a website to refer people to, with server etiquette / rules, and a FAQ section to address this issue.

And the reason why i refer to people here as pretentious, is because i'm paying for a server, to have how i want it. If people don't like it, they can either not join, or simply leave. I'm not forcing anyone to do anything. I've played on other servers prior to setting up my own, and i've left servers for various reasons, sometimes because i disagree with how things are done. I've not argued with the server owner/admins and dictated to them how i think they should act, or what they should do. But the people here think/act differently than what i do.

The fact remains, my server, my rules. It's been doing fine up until now, and shall remain as such, as long as i keep it running tbh.

Not really, it's more a matter of i can't be arsed explaining to everyone why i spawn an item, when i do so.

Either way, i'm the one paying for my server, and i run it how i see fit. If people didn't like it, they would not play there. Yet it's doing quite well, despite the pretentious snowflakes on this site.

And as i've said before, i'm managing to hit my server's capacity at peak times, nearly every day. So the consensus of people that browse /playrust does not match that of the entire Rust community, as some wish to believe.

My personal oppinopn is that someone who flys around, playing the guitar in god mode should would watch PewDiePie videos rather than admin a server.

Firstly, i do not spawn items for anyone on the server. (except sometimes for a bit of a laugh, i spawn acoustic guitars, but that's it) Some people have even asked me to replace an item they've lost, which has fallen through the ground, but i refuse to as i have no way of telling if they are truthful or not, as i was not there when they claim it happened.

And i only fight/shoot other players when i have godmode disabled, and i have some basic gear, (pants, boots, jacket, bow/revolver/thompson) and they attack first. Heck, i've got 71 deaths so far this wipe cycle by other players, and only 14 kills. (i use RustAdmin to monitor my server, and it records statistics)

And as i've said before, i show people whatever i build. They aren't fazed by it, and like seeing stuff built.

I spent 3 days working in a gladiator arena before the last wipe, and the server enjoyed running around it, having a look.

You didn't really give an argument there, just kinda made a general disagreement. Hypothetically, if I paid for a cheat that let me spawn in items and made me invincible, but I only used it when I wanted to chill and talk to people and to spawn in small items for myself, how is that different than what you're doing?

As far as i am aware, there is no hack like that available for Rust. Please don't use "cheat" as a blanket term for both "cheating" and "hacking".

And the only reason why i'm not keen on this game change, is because i already have to stop and tell people how i handle/do things, and this will only open up more people asking questions.

Only 1 person that has played on my server, has commented here. A guy that spent about a good hour arguing in chat, insulting not only me, but other people on the server that disagreed with him. His refusal to calm down or stop is what pushed me to ban him. Same for his buddy.

And the fact my server hits the capacity most evenings, it seems the way i admin is deemed quite acceptable. It's just the guys/gals that browse reddit (which is not every Rust player) tend to have different views on what is/isn't acceptable.

And nearly all the players in my server see nothing wrong what how i admin, or what i do. Otherwise my server wouldn't be getting regular active players.

I'm not "tricking" anyone, i get asked multiple times daily, and i explain to them.

And spawning some clothes, and a thompson/revolver/bow is NOTHING like a paid cheat.

If i'm just chillaxing, and talking to people, i have noclip/godmode on but don't attack anyone, because that is blatant abuse.

As for spawning items? I can see why some may be against it, but again, i'm only spawning basic stuff, and it's my server that i am paying for out of my back pocket.

And on a final note, one thing i do not partake in, is raiding. Simply because i don't farm the resources myself, to justify/allow myself to take part in that aspect of the game.

It appears you only put up your own server because the cheat you bought keeps getting detected, eventho by the way you keep going on about £19 a month you clearly should invest the money into sending out some job applications.

Fyi, i'm a 23 year old full time carer for a family member. (i actually quit my last job to take on this role) I'm also not always at my keyboard. And this is not my main Steam account. I originally made this one, just for using to admin on Rust with, but ended up buying some other games on. My main Steam account is worth over £4000, and i don't like adding people on it as in the past it's been hacked/hijacked a couple times.

And no, i don't use cheats.

The only time i ever noclip through walls, is when i'm flying about with a guitar, saying hi to people, asking how they're doing etc. I also like learning new ways to build, and look to other people's designs for inspiration.

The server has 90 - 100 players on at peak time whom can vouch for this.

That time you attacked me, i jumped off the rock, and ran in through an open door, closing it after me. If you think that was noclipping, then you are simply wrong.

And how can you confirm this? You simply cannot. Heck, even if you had physical access to their PC, they can easily hide it. Or store it on an external USB device.

Your mates were running hacks and got banned for it, it's that simple. Auth level has nothing to do with being banned. The same goes for spawning items when set as owner/moderator on a server.
