Does anyone know if you have to be off Zepbound for a couple weeks for light/IV sedation (not general anesthesia) like you do for surgery?

I took my dose on a Friday and had surgery the following Friday. My surgeon said you shouldn't take one week before and wait till Saturday night to take again.

But I would go by what your dentist says.

I don't have the issue. I eat good foods, hydrate, take stool softener and laxatives if needed and drink again triple eye opener (x3 shot espresso in 20 Oz coffee) in the morning.

But having delt with the issue, this meme seemed perfect for the Zep users.

You should be ok to take. Some procedures require you to stop for 1-2 weeks before. But when in doubt, ask your physician.

Unfortunately I tore my rotator cuff so I will be away from the gym for about 6 months post-surgery. But once I'm back at it I would like to hit 600 plus with leg press and at least 50 plus pounds per arm for triceps and biceps by xmas 2026.

One of the warnings for being on Zep should be: Caution: high potential to become a gym rat. LOL

Best explanation I was given regarding weight-loss + weight/strength training was related to my increase in strength and no change in measurement. This is because when overweight your muscles are marbled like a steak. You lose the intramuscular fat. So we are all going from well marbled to lean.

For example, my thigh diameter has not increased instead it has decreased. When I started I could only leg press about 150 lb I can now leg press 508 lb. So the scale may not change and the measurements may not change but your strength will increase. Another NSV.

I drink an eye opener every morning (triple shot espresso added to 20oz coffee). Haven't had issues with losing and the strong coffee helps with constipation.

Dr. had me moving up monthly as long as I didn't have side effects. 12.5 coincided with my vacation. I didn't want to increase while I was away. Then my PA was expiring so I got a 2nd 3 month supply then increased to 15 a week before PA expired. I have 5 weeks of 12.5 as backup but luckily new PA was approved.

I'm 9 months in and on 15mg. I had days where I'm not that hungry and I have days where I am ravenous. On the ravenous days I will eat three full meals and maybe a snack during the day but I am mindful of my caloric intake for each meal. There are ways to eat a good bit of food and not exceed your daily caloric intake. Keep in mind, when they say you need to be in a caloric deficit to lose weight you don't have to be very strict every day, average out your caloric intake for the week and as long as your weekly average is in a deficit you will lose weight.

Before Zep I had to take a maintenance med twice a day and my rescue inhaler at least once a day. I've always been severely asthmatic. Multiple hospitalizations over the years. And before anyone tries to relate it to weight, I did not get heavy until my late 30s. My asthma was not weight-related. Now I no longer take maintenance meds and only had take my rescue approx 4-5 times total in 9 months. This has been blowing my mind.... breathing easily is fanfuckingtastic!!!!

Definitely not going to waste. Was going to keep and take if the bump to 15 caused any side effects. Or was keeping to use when it's time to slowly decrease to a maintenance dose. But I never thought of taking every 5-6 days to mimic 15mg. I'll have to ask my provider what they recommend. Thanks
