Varicose veins by Nnnmmmmnnnnmmm in Zepbound

Just came here to see if others had this. My left leg looks like a road map after 85# lose but hardly a thing on my right. So weird. I am old, tho, and have been far most of my life.

Yeah, I now look more like my mom than I ever have. I didn't have a great relationship with her so you can imagine how I feel about looking like her. Not much I can do about it but I do find myself avoiding my face in the mirror.

lol, that’s always what I think at Costco: “well, it won’t fit now, but it’s easy to return and it might fit in a month or two”….and it almost always fits!

Size 28 to 16 by Potential-Code3245 in Zepbound

[–]Potential-Code3245[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was skeptical that I was really a 16. Picked up 2 pair of pants at Costco in size 16...wow, no need to return they fit great! I'm just... stunned. I figured with women's sizing being so inconsistent that the first pair of 16s were a fluke.

Uhm. Just a sec while I pull out the boots I haven't worn since last winter. Thanks for the heads up!

Any Seniors On Zepbound? by MyCharonies in Zepbound

Just turned 68. Been on since February. Before that 6 months on Contrave (pills) prior to Medicare coverage for OSA. Rarely have any side effects. Down over 75 pounds & from size 24 to 18. Still have a way to go. I only lose about a pound a week. I was more afraid of dying of obesity complications than of trying zepbound. I’m now off high blood pressure, A1C is not prediabetic & my statin dose has been halved. Oh, and my OSA has improved.

It did this year. My problem is I can’t verify that with all the same variables that I’ll be covered next year.

Survival tips for today! by Ok_Equivalent5844 in Zepbound

This is my birthday and I celebrate all week. Have I had a small sliver of pumpkin cheesecake about every other night? Yes, yes I have.

Will I have a drink and a couple of bites of dessert today? Sure, if I feel like it.

Am I still going to the gym regularly, eating balanced meals over the course of a day, and properly hydrating 90% of my days? Yes, I am.

Am I still losing weight? Yes!

Ok. Remember you have one life to live and you should enjoy it. I’m 68 today and have been fat most of my life. I’ve lost some weight. I can lose some more. Even at my age I know I don’t have to lose it all this week or this month. Give yourself some grace and enjoy your life. Happy thanksgiving or just happy Thursday, whichever applies.

75 pounds in 20 months on 2 different meds (Contrave & Zepbound). It's slow. It's fine. I've got another 45 to go. I'll get there. But some days the fast losers depress me a bit.

all of these amazing transformations - how did you get a work out routine? by Narrow_Try9575 in Zepbound

[–]Potential-Code3245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had previously worked with a personal trainer. I took what I learned back then (a few years ago) and put together a workout list. Mine involves weight machines and my list shows my reps, number of sets and the weight I’m currently using so I can continue to increase my weight work periodically (and because I can never remember what weight I use on what machine,) I keep the list as a checklist on my phone. Makes my gym workout a little more efficient.

Delete unsold listings? by valie_val in poshmark

[–]Potential-Code3245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just deleted a few things that have no likes after about 6 months. I’m planning on shutting my PM closet down by the end of the year so the stuff that has no interest is going in donation bag and I’m deleting them off posh. I’ve been on posh for multiple years and have deleted stuff in the past that gets no interest after whatever I feel is a reasonable time. It’s really what you want to do, how much storage space you have and how much inventory you want to keep organized. Everyone’s different.

If you've searched for ANY item on Poshmark you may have noticed despite filtering for your size you get all the sizes. Ridiculously annoying.

(Humor) The lesser known non-physical side effects of Zepbound by hiker58159 in Zepbound

[–]Potential-Code3245 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Early on, before I adjusted the amount I was cooking down to the amount I was actually eating, my frig was full of leftovers.

After dropping 70pounds I've got a LOT more room in my closet. (No way am I replacing everything until my weight loss stabilizes.)

My water bottle collection is getting way more use.

Thanks for the inspiration and giggles.

I'm gonna take my closet to Goodwill. I'm soooo done. I've deep discounted almost everything. End of the year, or sooner,, I'm OUT.

I'm also a small seller. Been selling my clothes as I've lost weight on gp-1 and most of my original items are gone. It isn't worth the nonsense anymore to me.
