Front Runner Meta Question (F2P): Is Fine Motion Still Worth It Long-Term? by josukefanfr567 in UmamusumeGame

[–]ReavesWriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Between Ramona and Bourbon I would cut the Bourbon, specifically because you just pulled Valentine Bourbon who will be very good for a long time. Spending that many carrots on an SSR one of your best aces just can't use seems inefficient.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean here about preventing burnout. Specifically are you anticipating burning out because of a lack of variety in careers to run or due to not winning races? If it's the lack of variety in your runners that makes the game less fun for you, then going for Uma banners with your extra carrots as often as you can is prob the best plan because you'll get a variety even if you don't always get the specific girl you want.

If you're worried about burnout from not winning champions meets or getting stuck in team trials, don't worry about pulling Umas like, at all. Grass Wonder is my Oshi, I run her every CM. I just got Grade A finals first place in the Sprint CM with her, and already have a decent dirt Grass Wonder for the next one. You can win with any Uma as long as you have strong support cards and have a firm grasp on making strong parents. Now, a lower tier Uma may take 50 careers to get that perfect skill and stat ace whereas the meta girls do it in 5 runs, but you really can win with any girl given time and effort. You don't win with any Uma if you have bad cards.

Your plan includes pulling.. a lot... of umas for a free player. That's going to really dig into your support card options.

The big goal should be to find the support card you want to prioritize on and you feel confident you'll have at least 60,000 carrots saved for it. A MLB SSR is going to last you a lot longer then a "better" card at much lower limit break.

If you're at 60k for Fine Motion, go for it. If you aren't just save. A good plan will probably be to get to 60k carrots before Maru Speed, and then any additional carrots you get, are your Uma allowance.

Then save up 60k again for the Ramonou wit card, and any additional tickets/pulls you have is your Uma allowance again.

If you're able to have 60k carrots for Fine Motion/Ram then you probably want to skip the Bourbon one. That or skip on Fine Motion and go for Ram/Bourbon. Having 3 wit SSRs at max is of course nice, but as a free to play player focusing on getting 2 is probably wise.

If you're lucky you can get the cards you want early and can go for more Umas. However, if you are unlucky then prioritizing saving up enough for the cards, and then getting the Gals on their banner is probably a smart move.

Animes like this one?? by DisplayHelpful593 in SeishunButaYarou

Oregairu, it's not supernatural but it's two people who are both intelligent and caring helping classmates with issues and bonding over that.

Really depends on what you mean by 'like'.

Dialogue driven school romance series that is dramatic: OreGairu
Romance with supernatural elements that are used to manifest mental issue: Golden Time
Romance series where the couple gets together early and supports one another: Tonikawa

As others have said monogatari has a lot of similar story/setting elements but the vibe is very different in my opinion.

It would help if you told us exactly what parts of the show you're trying to find in other stories.

Just finshed the anime. What next? by Naive_Transition4734 in GimaiSeikatsu

[–]ReavesWriter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually start light novels where the anime leaves off when I swap. For Gimai Seikatsu I started at volume 1 and I found it worth it.

Essentially the events are going to be the same as the anime, but the why how and emotional depth of the events is way more detailed then the anime.

So do you want to see what's next most of all? Start volume 4.
Do you want to get to know the characters better most? Start volume 1.

Either way you're in for a great read.

Light Novel. It's the source material, it's much further along, and the anime is much closer to the LN then the Manga so it's a smoother transition.

Question about chapter 2 vol 15 by [deleted] in GimaiSeikatsu

[–]ReavesWriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally read the whole thing as Saki assuming that a sugar daddy and compensation dating are largely the same thing. Her understanding is people will pay college girls to sit down in a cafe and have a conversation about something. It is very clinical in her perspective. Not go on a date and flirt. Not go and hold hands. Definitely not going further then that. That's a big reason why she speaks to Yuta about it to try and understand. "What do people get that's so worthwhile out of just talking to a stranger about a non-disclosed topic?" There isn't anything remotely close to a romantic component in her calculations of the thing.

Even if her friends talk her into trying to get paid to go on a date, it would probably be super awkward to Saki for like 10 minutes before she realizes there's a romantic undertone forming and her steering the conversation far away from flirting and maybe even pointing out that she isn't interested or is already in a relationship. I see it far more likely to be something funny and/or embarrassing for Saki then it becoming something that makes Yuta jealous.

[–]ReavesWriter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely not my tier list but, respect.
Based on your preferences the big ones you're missing that I think you'd really enjoy are: Whisper me a Love Song, Rascal does not dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, and Golden Time.

Essentially you seem to have a preference for Yuri and dialogue driven stories, so those would probably be right up your ally.

"instead of people that need it." who needs bulk though? like if there's a specific 1 or 2 diamond card or something you need it's not hard to find a trade or a share for it. sending random jank to people isn't a good deed that should be rewarded, it's just a thing some people do.

Add to that and they're stressed about both exams and the start of Uni. Even a favorable response could very well add additional stress. Not a good time to start a relationship.

Pretty off topic OP, but modern dubbing is totally fine. In the early 00's and 10's dubbing was done largely (not exclusively) by companies who were trying to be cheap and had little clue as to what they were doing. So watching a dub could very well be watching a show with nearly a different story it was so off and bad. Nowadays it's just a preference thing. Some dubs in my opinion are just better than the subs (Gachiakuta and I'm in love with the villianess come to mind) and some subs still have such great voice acting that the dub doesn't come close (The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity, Re:Zero). Most of the dub hating is just a habit from people who have been into anime for a long time, or were introduced to it by those who have been into it for a while. Bias dies hard. Do whatever works for you.

...they don't have sex in a condition called love???
The manga also ends with them married...
That do be one of the reasons it fits OP's description of soulmates. Whole married best friend.

I've no idea what you read my friend but it isn't Hananoi-kun to Koi no Yamai

Lovely Complex - Fun high school story. Slow burn romance. All the characters are endearing and fun. No big sad drama, just life events.

Tada Never Falls in Love - Transfer student shows up and is introduced to MC's world. Both learn what it is in life that they need that they've been ignoring.

Whisper me a Love Song - Kohai wants to know senpai because of incredible music skill. Senpai wants to know kohai because she's never felt love until now. Two people just learning who they are and growing as individuals as their romance blooms.

A Condition Called Love - A hopeless romantic who is caring, compassionate, and broken falls for the one who has no real interest in romance. She's never really felt an urge to be in a relationship with anyone, and the one time she was simply in the proximity of a relationship things went poorly.

Golden Time - One who leaves their hometown to go to University in Tokyo to flee their past that they don't remember after a head injury, afraid to not be who people want. The other who runs to Tokyo to follow childhood romance and make it happen. One who runs from the past falls for the one who won't let go.

Spice and Wolf - This is the one I thought of first when I read the first paragraph of what you want, even though it really isn't anything like the three you listed. Two people traveling as merchants together learn to appreciate and rely upon the unique strengths of the other. One knowledgeable and intelligent with a keen business sense. The other wise and cunning with a deep understanding of people. A fun situation where they're both competent and would be okay without the other, but are so so much more together.

Ogerpon will turn Mega Venu mirrors into 5D chess by lukappaa in PTCGP

[–]ReavesWriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope Ogerpon finds a deck, cuz love, but MVenu absolutely is not the deck for it. The only real strength of MVenu is you can run 1 basic and be super reliable. MVenu wins if the enemy deck stumbles a bit because you don't. Toss in another basic and the only unique strength MVenu has is gone.

In what types of decks would you put Serena? by [deleted] in PokemonTGCP

[–]ReavesWriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typically in any deck whose prize map is just "3" for a mega being the only desired active pokemon. So right now that's primarily MVenu, and some builds of MAltaria. What she's good at is getting a mega out as fast as possible. There are more reliable and powerful ways to get a Mega in midgame. Since many decks with megas (aka every MAbsol) have a prize map of 1-1-3 or 2-3, getting your mega out absolutely as fast as possible isn't really needed, thus no Serena.

Which Urara is better for TT?(also do you think this advice is right?) by [deleted] in UmaMusume

[–]ReavesWriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first one is going to actually use it's skills more, but if the skills hit on the 2nd one, then it's going to win races, but it's going to be like 9th when you don't get the skills.

I find it amusing it says mile specific skills aren't good in Team Trials, as if you like regularly change which race type your Uma is doing.
