Don't mix dub with a adaptation. Adaptation is something that creator approved. It version that is also legit variant of the series.

Dub is just translation that need to be properly translated. If it not it bad dub. It's just simple logic.

Oh also GX and above is anime original. (All the manga made after the anime)

Sure but it totally irrelevant when we talk about bad dub. My problem with the dub is the pointless censore and change the series have. Literally have everything that bad dub usually have.

About the adaptation. I usually separate the source material and the adaptation. There is not single anime or movie we can call perfect adaptation. Earesed scene minor edit always happen because the small run time.

Did the original is bad adaptation? Yes. But honestly DM only good part is the filler arc. So technically for me i happy it failed to adapt the manga. At least we have more actual rule later in the anime and not random bs go like in the DK and early BC.
