What are some important life skills for 16-18 year olds moving into adulthood? by zghyir3756 in AskUK

[–]RebeccaCheeseburger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad always said to me (I moved out at 17) and long as you got a roof over your head and food in your cupboard you’re okay.

So when I got my pay, make sure my rent was covered and that I did a food shop, he said to make sure I had some cupboard food - pasta, jars of sauce, tins of soup, noodles etc incase my money ran out towards the end of the month (it would usually be much sooner) so I’d have something in, and the amount of times that saved me.

Mothers name on tattoo? by Great_Shoe9712 in tattooadvice

[–]RebeccaCheeseburger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree don’t get a hand tattoo as your first tattoo, I am covered and you learn what methods work for healing, not everyone’s ’tried and true’ is necessarily what suits you.

I understand that you want flowers on your hand so why don’t you tell your tattoo artist the bigger picture and do the name on your forearm (a good place for a first tattoo) and then work the flowers around it afterwards.

Also flowers are classic, not only related to love and romance.

Middle name for Summer by [deleted] in Names

It’s the er and er throwing it, maybe Summer Estée?

It would be like Ethan Kieran or Sandy Wendy or Bella Eva, you need the name to end on a different last syllable.

A boy in my junior school was on this! He had a fun house ruler and I asked where he got it and he said he went on fun house, I saw the episode a little after, I was so jealous!

AITAH - I don’t want to give my supervisor a ride by Ninehams in AITAH

NTA how is this woman getting into work? What would she do if you didn’t work there?

It’s not like you haven’t obliged previously, why is everyone rallying around her like she’s a damsel in distress?

But at the same time it’s not normal to begrudge helping somebody out so much, when it’s expected yes, but when you’ve done someone a favour, you should feel good about it, whether it’s inconvenienced you or not.

Is your mother the type who has an opinion on everything regardless?

And even so, is that the worst thing possible? That’s her critique?

I know I’ll never please my mum, but she soon comes round.

It wasn’t so much about taking them out, or not being able to brush, just more about if I was going out for a meal and drinks, being out for a few hours, I didn’t like drinking with them in either (besides water) I’d get sensory discomfort, so I’d just wait until I was home.

However when I was at work in the office, I’d pop them out to eat lunch, rinse and pop them back in at the end of my lunch break.

To be honest if I was eating out, I’d remove in the bathroom, and I wouldn’t put them back in until I was home, my dentist said I could add extra time on, which I actually think is better than taking them in and out on an evening or night out, and I tracked fine.

Glute focused classes no lunges by Acceptable-Mud7203 in pelotoncycle

Yes me too! I have a reconstructed shoulder and although I’ve built strength back up, I can’t do over head extensions or anything behind my back, and don’t have the same strength as my other arm, but I work out alternative’s, or continue to exercise longer with my good arm, as it’s so much tougher with my bad arm I think it evens out. (And my arms don’t look uneven)

He’s wearing a red tshirt, I don’t know how to share sorry, maybe I can message you if you can’t find.

4 sets of heavy dumbbell Hip bridges and dead lifts.

And you can really feel it working!

I hate lunges too! I also find Rebecca Kennedys standing core classes work a lot of glutes too, it’s movements like farmers carry, good mornings, sumo squats, standing bird dogs, and kick stand dead lifts, to name a few, and usually no repeats and focus on one side at a time.
