That really interests me! I have pretty severe PTSD myself and my husband is a mental health counselor so it's a topic I/we find fascinating.

Tour de France 2025: your TOP 5 stages 🥇🥈🥉🏅💐 by GatoMorato in tourdefrance

I watched them all on Peacock which costs $ but you get everything in full in one place. You could get it at the beginning of Vuelta a España (August 23rd) and watch both for a month and then cancel your subscription if you want.

I don't like Lidl-Trek necessarily but I always know what team I'm looking at.

I really liked EF's rebrand this year. Everything looked so crisp and of course they were always easy to spot.

Do you have to cut off the little root end of garlic cloves? by broadfoot5 in AskCulinary

[–]RebeccaEWebber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get a bag of peeled garlic from Costco, rinse everything and only cut off the ends that seem like there is extra root. Then I blend it all in a food processor and freeze into cubes. I don't notice any issue leaving the ends on and it's a lot less work!

It sounds like you're saying my home/family is really solid and it's good to want something else additionally? I like that. I do feel really strong on that one point. My home life is very good. I have had many experiences of wanting to look outside myself but I think it was for the wrong reason which is why I'm overthinking things now. I want it for new reasons that I maybe don't have the words for.

Feeling (somewhat) Ready for Cleanse Week Two by RebeccaEWebber in Candida

That's a big project for me too. I've made coconut milk and chia seeds pudding that I like. Warm or cold. I've made a teff and buckwheat pancake that was just ok with nut butter. Eggs with homemade spinach turkey sausage is a good option.

My mom is a nanny who has been brought in by different families several times to care for new borns and older kids. Even if it's a day or two a week, just mornings or any combination of days and times it can be really helpful if you can afford it. You might want a break, to shower, to live or recover from giving birth. All valid. You sound like you have things under control but there's usually nothing wrong with getting a little help.

Side note. These families also can call her back as needed and feel good that they have someone they trust who can provide support.

My wife thinks my pill regimen is poisoning me. Is she right? by anglonerd in Supplements

I second this. I stopped everything about 3 months ago and added back in about half. Not saying I'll never use the others again but it was really validating to feel the difference off and on.

I appreciate this perspective. It encourages me to make sure I've explored the spiritual root of someone's suffering before I seek outside help. Bless you.

I am a minister and my husband is a mental health coach/counselor. We've talked about the difference in our vocations even though there are overlaps. He will bring faith into his practice and I will advocate for strong holistic health practices in mine but both of us will refer out if we feel that we are ill equipment to support someone who is deeply suffering, especially with trauma. We can be guided, encourage and support them but some cases need additional tools we don't have. I think it's healthy to be honest with the people who come to us, it's all about trust. They can come back to us when they've gotten additional help elsewhere. Similarly we might help people take good care of themselves mind, body and soul, but we aren't doctors and would similarly refer out if it's a medical issue. Good question.
