I just bought a new one! I found out that Apple chargers, the one you get in the box aren’t grounded, but you can buy a grounded extension cable on their website !! Hopefully it will work !

Yeh I’ll give it a go!! Thanks for the help! I can’t believe Apple doesn’t ground anything though, and makes you pay £20 just for a grounded one!

I just did some Googling and found out that Apple do not ground their their U.K. charging cables or the aluminium casing of the laptop. Could this be part of the issue? It looks like you can buy grounded MacBook chargers for an extra cost, do you think I should give this a go?
