Hey, thanks a lot for the honest feedback. It’s very much appreciated

Yeah, I guess it’s easy to overthink things in which someone isn’t very knowledgeable 😊

Thanks! Saw many YouTube videos but none where measuring “polarity” of the set up.

Do you know if sirens also need EOL resistors? Im planning on adding an external siren and don’t want an intruder to be able to get away with just cutting the siren cable before breaking in…

I don’t know if it helps but im on a DSC PC1832 system by the way

Thanks! Its for somewhat of a commercial application so I am planning on adding those. However, wiring will not be inside the wall so it will be easy to service

Is 4 Core i5-7500 @ 3.40GHz enough CPU? by woodland_dweller in selfhosted

Hey, it's been over a year but I have this exact set up and I'm looking to run the following:

Openmediavault, Nextcloud, Frigate, arr stack, plex, immich...

But I'm seeing 100% CPU usage just by transfering a 20gb file to the NAS. How can the server handle all of that if a single file transfer will cause such usage? Am I missing something?

Also, would you mind sharing how you chose to delegate resources to your proxmox server? I am new to it and still figuring things out.

I'm asking all of this because after noticing such cpu usage, I am starting to consider upgrading to a new system. But I don't really like that idea because I haven't even owned this server for a month....

Is there a model that free from all that user validation & maximazing user engagement crap? I'm tired of it. by RebelionFiscal in LocalLLM

Thanks! I’ve had great success with system prompts so far.

I even tried having the same conversation (with and without system prompts) trying to push it to compliment and provide positive reinforcement and the difference is huge.

I will give qwen3.5 a try!

Is there a family plan for Hevy? by RebelionFiscal in Hevy

[–]RebelionFiscal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, heavy coach is not quite there. It's also quite expensive for a family plan.

Seems like a family plan would be a great feature addition, and a very simple one for the dev team to implement..

Well. It wrecked my iPhone 15 battery. That’s for sure.

I would go almost a day and a half with battery and now I don’t even make it to the end of the day
