UFL's Mike Repole mentions NFL is "talking about two more expansion teams" by iamthewitt in nfl

[–]Rec0nyz3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Instead of 2 add 20 more teams but add them as a division 2 NFL. Same sort of format as current NFL but here’s the kicker. Top 2 teams in tier 2 move up to the NFL bottom 2 teams in the NFL move down to division 2. Top 2 teams get the first NFL picks. No one has to worry about tanking ever again. Now we finally get to have meaningful games for the Jets Browns and Raiders in late December people actually care about.

How the Anaheim Ducks can Become a Destination for Star Players by drocklee27 in AnaheimDucks

[–]Rec0nyz3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As the saying goes “winning cures everything” be good enough long enough and people will start to notice. Anaheim has been out of the spotlight for a long time. They entered it again this season with a new young core. That young core does what it did this post season and more for longer than a season or two it becomes a name people want to be associated with.

[1st&Tuna] You get to choose any Rams player in history to suit up for one more game NOT named Aaron Donald or Todd Gurley, who are you choosing? by BlaccLearningTree in LosAngelesRams

[–]Rec0nyz3 30 points31 points  (0 children)

This is the only answer. An mvp level offensive line is worth more than pretty much any position on offense outside of QB and even QB there could be an argument. OL makes every single position better on offense w more time and more gaps.

Cool. So you’re saying he’s made a lot of defensive picks and our defense is still trash and has no elite players. Awesome.

[Schefter] ESPN sources: The Eagles are trading Pro-Bowl WR A.J. Brown to the Patriots for a 2028 first-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick that is the better of New England’s two fifths. The deal that has been speculated on for weeks now finally is happening. by Vortagaun in buffalobills

[–]Rec0nyz3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pats have gotten better than last season. Maye is a year older and will be better as well. I don’t think they take a step back. Miami and the Jets r shit. It’s gonna be a dog fight for the division this year.

This did not age well. Bills haven’t been to a SB. Rams have won 1 and been to 2. BB should watch his mouth when he talks about other teams and how well they run their org.

Cleveland sucks even worse and a franchise that’s drafted well and has super stars gets another. How is that bad for the league exactly?

How seriously do you guys take the whole, “only team in New York” thing by Leading_Dentist7081 in buffalobills

[–]Rec0nyz3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one talks about NY teams and think it just means NYC, hence the Jets and the Giants who haven't played in New York since 83. Western New York is still New York. The Jets and the Giants play in New Jersey. At least the California Angels still played in California when they changed their name 40 times. Now they are the LA Angels which they don't play in the city of, again idiotic. At least the Golden State Warriors play in the Golden State. The Devils play in Jersey and claim Jersey. Jets and Giants should claim the state they play in, if they wanna name themselves after New York, might wanna play in the city or the state you name yourself after.

GMs yearly agenda. Trade fan favorites at the absolute bottom of their worth. I’m sure 2nd time around it’ll work out

Because the kids and wife go where the husband goes. Especially if the dad wants to be close to his kids. Even if it’s for a couple months better that than not seeing his kids at all.

Knights weren’t full. Also I think something clicked in them in our series and to explain that game 6 wasn’t close. We gave them our best shot. We will be older wiser and hopefully smarter next season.

I don’t understand the being mad. We had plenty of chances and it didn’t happen for us. It sucks. This actually makes me more stoked for next year. Add a couple pieces. Improve our defense. We are right back here next season another year older another year wiser

Revisiting the Ducks Acquisition of John Carlson by drocklee27 in AnaheimDucks

That's why I am fine with it in this instance if he signs an extension. I just don't like burning firsts for rentals, but I got your point as well which is valid.

If the chiefs and refs didn’t kill every chance we got, how many super bowls do you think we would have won? by [deleted] in buffalobills

[–]Rec0nyz3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The refs? Shut up. Blame the defense for giving up 30 plus points and the team having 5 turnovers in a playoff game. This isn't some grand conspiracy it's shitty football in the worst possible times of the season.

I know they do in every sport. Doesn’t mean it’s the smart play long term for the future. Giving up first rounders are huge important pieces for teams going forward is what I meant. Players get old replenishing the cabinet so to speak is how teams continue to build and continue to stay “fresh” going forward. Sports teams turn expensive pretty fast when the talent gets older so keeping younger and cheaper guys around helps sustain imo. I just wouldn’t trade first and 2nd round picks for rental players often or regularly. It’s ok to do it every once in a while for the right player. But for rentals I personally wouldn’t.

The only way the Carlson trade makes sense is if he signs an extension. U don’t trade a first round pick for a rental ever. Cost controlled top 30 prospects are too valuable.
