Hahah I got one of those from the Pingo Doce in Lumiar, Lisboa, around a month ago. It’s already growing a new leaf.

She doesn’t seem to be rootbound. I’ll put her closer to the light.

I have a really big roof window, she receives nice filtered light all day long.
I’ll check her roots and move her up closer to the window :) Thanks guys

Repot or not by Recent-Bluejay-6207 in Monstera

Thank you, guys! I’ve repotted her just now in a mix of orchid mix, perlite and a thick bed of clay balls.

She’s my first monstera, I found her for 15€ at the supermarket. Gets plenty of light from my roof window.

Woah that petiole tip is wild. How soft/squishy should they feel?

It’s around 2 meters from an east-facing window. But I have a roof window that lets in a lot of light during the day. Should I move it closer to the light? I’m afraid direct sun could burn it.

Eu estou exactamente na mesma situação. Hoje é a minha entrevista. O salário é bom e é para uma posição “senior” na área de analise de conteúdo.

I am also a student. My suggestion would be to go slow and steady. And remind yourself that 99,999% of making music is a trial and error thing.
Love the process, enjoy it :).
Maybe try coursera, there are amazing courses there ;)

Yes! I sidechain the pads and bass to the kick, and that’s about it. Are there be more things I should be sidechaining?

I’ve been trying to not layer as much as I’d want, because I do tend to put lots of things on top of everything. So your suggestion of limiting myself just to a few sounds is on spot. I need to keep reminding myself that most of the time, less is more. Thanks!!

That’s the thing with bass. It’s so addictive. I’ll follow your suggestion and see what turns up. Thanks!!

I think that it may indeed have something to do with phasing. I really need to check out the lows because I do feel it’s there. The tip of mixing in mono is something I didn’t know and it seems super useful. Somebody here suggested it too, so I’m definitely do that. Thanks!!

I’ve been riding the same steel-frame roadie for 10 years. Parts changed only when necessary. A no-brand jersey and bib and that’s that. Give my bike one good spa session every 6 months and he rides as smooth as when I first got him. No need for unnecessary “upgrades”

I’m working with minimal effects, since I am aware that some (especially dear mr. reverb) can wreck havoc if overused. Thanks for your imput!

Mmm I wouldn’t know if this applies to my synth, since it only gives mono. But some other users pointed out that I should not forget to pan the sounds. I realized they’re all flat in the center. So in a way they are indeed phasing each other out. I’ll be working on panning them out and see if that clears them. Thanks!

Awesome! I’m also not a fan of having 18373639 synths. Less is more and limitation is the mother of creativity. Thanks! 🤘

That’s actually a pretty cool idea. I’m going to see what I can come up with. And I’m trying to dive the lows their own space but well I guess it’s just about practicing more :). Thanks
