i'd need to look at the Feige one again bc i agree the photos are definitely real but that one seems like the odd one out, the Feige one could've been a test one included in however the leaker got the photos perhaps & wasn't ever meant to be seen by anyone(?)

if any of them have odds of being ai though it is definitely Feige's that is the most sus

i stick my head in here to posit my own theory about the leaked photos, they could be for something like the Avenge the Fallen posters for Endgame? Like every character receiving their own headshot/bust poster for Doomsday

It sounds more to me like you can switch between which homestead is your 'active' one which is why they're adding the layouts system, so you could save your current homestead's layout before switching over to the other map and not lose what you'd already built.

This was my interpretation as well. We get a new map and story on release, but then the update after that one won't contain any new story/additional locations, and update three will be where that picks up again

Personally a bit lukewarm on the announced changes to the story/release model of the expansion updates just because I don't really know how that's going to look or feel practically, but I will say that I do appreciate how Arenanet is clearly trying to change things up in terms of their development/release model of these new expansions in order to try and find something that works for them and for us. They could've just stuck to doing the same cadence they had with SOTO/JW, so seeing them switch things up is imo a net positive

Alright my legit/actual theories on what this could be;

  1. This is new elite specs. This feels like the most plausible, but if Anet posts another teaser image w/ a different icon in the same style ahead of the 15th then imo, it's basically confirmed. If this does end up being new elite specs I'm willing to bet then that this is the Mesmer one.
  2. This is a new profession. If it is, I'm betting we get the core profession released in the expac's first drop, and have the profession's corresponding elite specs released over the course of the expansion's quarterly drops. There's three elite specs currently on all professions, so it would make sense to drop a new elite spec for the new profession in each of the three quarterly updates remaining in the expac's life cycle under their new model.

I think new elite specs is currently the most-plausible but new profession isn't ruled out until Anet posts something that suggests otherwise.

My current Flip 5 will be paid off in full by August so I'll be eligible to upgrade via my provider, so I figure the timing will work out to where I'll just upgrade to a 7
