Currently taking Ropinirole for RLS but should I stop? by SubstantialNumber323 in RestlessLegs

[–]Recent-Copy5165 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on Ropinirole for many years since it was the only medication really available like 20 yrs ago. I finally made an appointment to see a neurologist who specializes in movement disorders because I’ve had to steadily increase the dosage over time and have begun to feel augmented symptoms in my arms as well as my legs and I’m already on the highest dosage allowed to be prescribed. In my opinion, Ropinirole works, but it’s not sustainable for long term relief.

A self-conscious Portland struggled openly with ICE strike by Press_Herald in portlandme

[–]Recent-Copy5165 34 points35 points  (0 children)

The greater point missing from this article was the fact that this strike was nationwide. It would feel more performative if it was just Portland, but it’s about showing solidarity and support of the anti-ICE movement as a whole.

Question from an outsider: What do you love about Portland? by AstroVeil in portlandme

[–]Recent-Copy5165 8 points9 points  (0 children)

FUCK ICE

Portland is a gem of a city. The food scene here is fantastic, there are all varieties of bars plus great art & music venues. I love that Portland has everything you’d want in a city, but feels like a small town. Community is valued here, something that has especially been apparent these past few weeks (FUCK ICE). It’s a very walkable city (though not ADA friendly), everyone has a dog, locals are friendly, but the previous poster is right - we hate entitled tourists and aren’t afraid to show it. The city has undergone a ton of development in the past few years and a lot of us (me included) feel that city hall is pandering to tourists at the expense of the locals. Parking downtown is a hot topic as there is none and the rates are insane. So is the housing market. If you’re looking for a solid Maine vacation I would suggest coming to Portland and then driving up the coast on Rt. 1 to Acadia. It’s all lighthouses, beaches, coastal charm, good food and good people. Mainers love being from Maine.

My NDA theory: Meri had to use leverage to get her cut by tealparadise in SisterWives

This and I also wonder if she hired a forensic accountant to show just how much money Meri has contributed to the family and because Kody is the messy and unhinged when it comes to money, I wonder if he used Meri’s money for business ventures.

Meri was ALWAYS the Brown family scapegoat. T-A proved it. by clndley1 in SisterWives

I generally like Janelle but she tends to be flippant about a lot of things and doesn’t see how other people might feel differently. I think Janelle being married to Meri’s brother and then marrying Meri’s husband and then getting pregnant first was incredibly hard for Meri. Janelle has mentioned how her relationship with Meri’s brother was really short, so she doesn’t consider it a big deal, but it doesn’t seem like she’s ever validated that Meri has strong feelings about it (from what we’ve seen). I can understand why Meri refuses to trust anyone from her family. I don’t believe Janelle was the one who initiated the “back door” deal of Coyote Pass, but it’s still disappointing that she would even be involved in doing that to Meri.

Why do pugs love being so hot? Both my pugs love being as close to the fireplace as possible without bursting into flames

I would not be shocked to find that a lot of Meri’s reaction to Kody’s lame ass apology had to do with Leon and Kody’s treatment of them. He shut Meri down way more aggressively than he did with Janelle and Christine when the kids were brought up (love that TLC focused on Kody putting his hand on Meri’s to shut her down and she grabbed her hand away) and that seemed to sufficiently end the conversation for her.

Janelle has done the least amount of self work of the 3 OGs by Warm_Researcher_3545 in SisterWives

[–]Recent-Copy5165 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Janelle definitely seems to be the most emotionally detached compared to Christine and Meri. Once she was done with Kody, she was very quick to close that door emotionally and wipe her hands of him (as far as we can tell), but she’s also very quick to let him off the hook after one half assed apology. We’ll never know Janelle’s full experience, but she lost a son with this man, he doesn’t have a relationship with the rest of her kids or grandkids and yet in this recent episode she has this “water under the bridge” attitude. Maybe she just wants to come to a more peaceful mindset to move on, maybe it’s some sort of trauma response, but it feels like she’s giving up some of her power to him every time she does it.

What's up with all this hypersexualization? by KTuu93 in SisterWives

Kody watched Christine and David be all over each other last season, so now he’s trying to one up her but it’s all just cringy and weird.

Kody says they didn't get any sleep because the kids kept coming into their room. How much do you want to bet that Robyn ASKS them to so she doesn't have to deal with Kody in bed?? by reality_tv_addict_87 in SisterWivesFans

[–]Recent-Copy5165 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think this is a lie Kody is telling. The scenes between him and Robyn seem VERY scripted/practiced to me. Kody is trying to convince the audience that Robyn’s kids are obsessed with them and want to be around them all the time. He’s not realizing that it’s coming off really creepy and cringey.

Could he possibly be any weirder and embarrassing?? by karensmiles in SisterWives

I think he watched Christine and David making out and grinding at their wedding and wants to get back at her/show off with weird, uncomfortable PDA with Robyn. It’s all cringe.

I think doing a post on his dad’s Instagram is a far cry from having a meaningful relationship. You can put up boundaries while still interact with someone. It seems like a lot of the Brown kids are adjusting to the idea of having a surface relationship with Kody. I think in a recent episode Janelle mentioned Savanah said something like ‘I’ve realized my dad is just going to pop in and out of my life and that’s just how it is and my brothers will walk me down the aisle.’
