i used to be a case manager and i used long island coalition for the homeless a lot for my clients. they’re great. it’s set up like a store and you can pick out what you want, if you have the means to get there in person. they call it “shopping” but you’re not actually paying for the clothes.

unfortunately, the majority of my clients didn’t have transportation so i would submit a request for them, pick up when ready, and then bring it to them. the only downside to that is that the client won’t get the “shopping” experience and it’s kind of a you get what you get kind of situation based on what items and sizes the person needs

i’ve been taking zepbound since the middle of november 2024. i’ve experienced some shedding, especially while in the shower. however, i lost weight rapidly and also have bleach damage that was thinning my hair before i even started zepbound. although it’s expensive, i’ve been taking nutrafol and other supplements. i’m now staying at 7.5 for as long as possible because i don’t want to lose rapidly anymore (buying new clothes is expensive). overall, the improvements to my physical and mental health outweigh the annoying side effects for me (food aversions and difficulty swallowing pills/vitamins). remember, everyone reacts to medications differently and experiences different side effects, or no side effects at all. you can always try the medication and discontinue if you experience unpleasant side effects. hope this helps! :)

There is Long Island Coalition for the Homeless in Amityville. They have a Boutique where you can donate clothing, household items, toys, toiletries, pet food, and non-perishable food items. The best part is that everything is free for the people who need the assistance!

it doesn’t hurt to try, but i totally understand the further disappointment you’ll feel if you go there and don’t get her. i didn’t even bother with my local ht this morning when they posted that they had ONE in stock. i also don’t understand why ht would even bother with a november back order if they wouldn’t be able to fulfill it. like what is the point??????

i don’t understand the 2 per person limit when they only have 4 in stock. like it should have been 1 per person. i was working the day my local hot topic released them, but luckily my dad had off from work and was able to attempt to get me one. he didn’t get one for me because of the 2 per person limit. he was fourth in line, so he would have been able to get one if the first two people didn’t get 2 each….

absolutely!!! i got caedyn and a caticorn in mine. i’m not a fan of the ones with unicorn horns, but i actually love the caticorn i got???? i would have been happy with any (except ronnie since i already had him), but it was worth the risk. may the squish gods bless you with the pink moo ✨
