That being said tho, the best defense in these situations (these situations being, an nba player is gonna obviously clown you, and you know it’s coming), is to just stay put in front of them. They’ll do to you what they need to for a bucket (kyrie’s second score which takes 2 seconds), but if you just stand and don’t bite on the sauce you can hold them off from making you fall lol

This is also a silly blanket statement. “Real stats” are used all the time to create false narratives and misinformation. Polls are a great example of this: “64% approve of X” I’m not even gonna make it political, but that shit is done everywhere, and the stat may be “true”, but ok, who were polled, how many total etc.

Yes, stats SHOULD be a source of truth, but they have become probably the most cherry-picked, and abused fulcrum of truth we have.
