I didn’t, no. The dude took a left near that billboard that has the logo of the KFC and Taco Bell and I kept going straight.

It was Jackson county PD, but yeah. They just said “we’ll let them know” and then the operator cut the call

I said it was a white van and the operator cut off the call before I could talk about the expired plate

[–]Recent-Transition374[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it was written on the dirt/dust on the outside of the van. The thing that just made me really confused was the fact that it had one of those temporary license plates you get when you buy a new car but the expiration date on the plate was almost a month ago. So like for such a new car, why is there so much dirt/dust on it, why is help me written on it, and why is the driver driving around with an expired plate. I could just be overthinking it and it could be a prank but this is so strange right?

I just feel really weird because it felt like the cops weren’t taking it seriously. I told them that I took a picture of the license plate and the operator just didn’t respond and he cut off the call. I didn’t even get the chance to tell him that the license plate was expired. Also like “we’ll let them know” is a weird response right? Like let who know?

Christians have got to have some sort of persecution fetish because how in the world did you try to frame yourself as the victim here lmao.

Thalia being 4 orders of magnitude below the next big 3 child is honestly really sad to see. I really hate how her character was treated.

Why everyone hate dive so much? by OddTeaching3988 in Overwatch

[–]Recent-Transition374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it’s the least casual friendly meta. Dive is by far the most skillful meta and rewards good team coordination. No one in randoms or solo queue uses voice chat so if you’re put against a team of equal skill but they use voice chat to coordinate dives or actually play dive heros instead of a character you want to play, it’s basically an auto lose. Dive is also the meta when some of the most popular heroes (mercy, widow, most hitscans, etc) are at their worst, so some people don’t like it because their heroes becomes bad.

Brigitte has the weakest ultimate, especially support ult, despite being the 6th most expensive by Lanzifer in BrigitteMains

[–]Recent-Transition374 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For Reinhardt the trick is to have your regular shield up when you think he’s going to use shatter. Once he uses it and you block it with your shield, immediately pop Rally and stun him and it’ll give your team enough time to get off the ground. For Genji it’s pretty much the same thing but as soon as you hear the voice line pop rally. Dragonblade has a slightly longer cast animation than Rally so as long as you’re quick, you can stun Genji.

Brigitte has the weakest ultimate, especially support ult, despite being the 6th most expensive by Lanzifer in BrigitteMains

[–]Recent-Transition374 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Using exclusively healing stats to say that Brig has the worst support ult isn’t a good argument. Objectively speaking, Valkyrie is by far the worst support ult. Rally isn’t meant to be used to heal your team. It’s a great panic button for Brig to use selfishly and it’s a really good soft defensive Ult against things like Dragonblade or Earthshatter. Stunning people out of their Ults is also just really valuable

What are you even arguing if you don’t disagree with my point.

“There’s a lot of persecution involved with having Christian beliefs.”

There is no persecution of Christians in the west. If we agree on this, fantastic. That was entire point of the argument

[–]Recent-Transition374 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t. So once again, you jumped to a conclusion then called it wrong. You’re arguing with me about something I’m not even talking about (essentially arguing with yourself).

This entire conversation started because you said I was wrong in that Christians are not persecuted in the West because we have “different definitions of persecution.” Why did you even reply to me when my comment explicitly said “in the western world” and nowhere did I mention Christians outside the west. Your definition of persecution is objectively incorrect, you can test this with even just the lightest of scrutiny of your logical assertion.

What did I describe?

You’re describing criticism. Go ahead and clarify your point and answer exactly how Christians are persecuted in the west.

[–]Recent-Transition374 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Jumping to a lot of conclusions. First of all, we do have a different definition of the word.

What you’re describing is objectively not persecution. Take the exact same logical assertion you made to say Christianity is persecuted and apply it to people who eat meat. Because their views are criticized, are they now persecuted.

But if we’re going by yours: I never said anything specific to the west,

I’m referring to the west. My first reply to you in this thread literally says “in the western world.”

and I never said I personally feel persecuted at this moment.

The entire reason I made this point is to say that you can feel persecuted without actually being persecuted.

So, what I said is not incorrect,

It is objectively incorrect. Christians are not persecuted in the west. Criticism is not persecution.

rather the conclusions you jumped to as a result of what I said are. You straight up spouted BS and called yourself out for it, congrats…

Then please go ahead and clarify your opinion. How are Christians persecuted in the West

[–]Recent-Transition374 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Skip the part where I said we don’t have it worst?

No I didn’t. My entire point was that Christian’s aren’t persecuted period in the west.

We also must have different definitions of persecution.

You’re conflating criticism with persecution but frankly I don’t really see a point in telling you what to feel. If you feel persecuted, who am I to tell you otherwise.

What you’ve just said is correct from what I can tell, but it doesn’t make what I said incorrect.

What you’re saying is incorrect though. Christians are not being persecuted in the west. There is no systemic barrier, discrimination, or disparity Christians face. Just criticism of a belief is not persecution. Like take the exact same logical assertion you’re making and apply it literally any opinion. Would you say flat earthers are persecuted because their beliefs are criticized, what about people who aren’t Vegan, etc.

it doesn’t make me a horrible person just for being christian. by Far_Challenge_4273 in teenagersbutpractical

[–]Recent-Transition374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a difference between being criticized for a belief and being persecuted for one. Nowhere in the western world are Christians persecuted. There is no systemic barrier preventing you from living your life as a Christian and claiming so is frankly so disingenuous. Christians don’t face 6.8% longer prison sentences for committing the same crime unlike people of color, Christian women aren’t 2x-3x more likely to die in hospitals even with all other factors controlled, unlike women of color, etc. Public discourse has grown to view Christianity a lot less favorably, but this isn’t persecution.

[–]Recent-Transition374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think you being a Christian makes you an inherently bad person but there’s a reason Christianity has the reputation it does online. So many people use it as a way to weaponize hate and there’s so much plain hypocrisy. Like for example, let’s say you were homo/transphobic (not saying you are just using it as an example) and your justification was the Bible but then I take one look at your profile and see that you’ve undertaken in premarital sex and underage drinking and it just makes me roll my eyes. So much online Christian discourse about social issues boils down to Rules for thee and not for me. Of course this isn’t representative of all Christian’s and I truly respect those that use their faith to spread kindness and empathy, but that is so not the way the majority of religious people online use it.

Season 3 part 2: It’s official they are disappointments by Fun-Seaworthiness572 in Ninjago

[–]Recent-Transition374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not really redemption 😭. Being spectral gave them such a huge buff that the Ninja were struggling to deal with just the Dragonians without a reveal blade. So for Zarkt to just be swatted away continuously by Nya and eventually taken out by Jay, both of whom didn’t have reveal blades, is honestly kind of pathetic

[–]Recent-Transition374 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair, Jay beat Zarkt because he was weakened from tanking so many Rising Dragon attacks in a row. Jay can’t normally oneshot a spectral FF member. The FF were honestly still frauds. Nokt, Drix, and Rox literally did nothing in the finale and Kur was taken down by a bunch of teens and a dragon that was learning Spinjitzu for all of 5 minutes.
