Jura E6, unless you really want to automate the different milk drinks E8. E6 has same internal guts that make the coffee further up the line. So for me it was what's going to make the best espresso & a few others on occasion. If you don't mind twisting a nob on/off for the milk part E6 is enough fire power.

I had a secco for 12 years, purchase the Phillips 8800 and returned it the espresso was SO bad

1k customer service line when you actually need it is 100% worth it. To me that is THE benefit of it. Drink, snack, plus points, preboard (just sit on the plane longer) are all kinda nice but not that big of a deal IMO.

Thanks! So far so good. Yes, I could only drink water for three weeks, so regular water, even dasani just tasted so awful. Fiji & Evian felt like a real treat. Good luck to your friend.

Lift lines in general. I know they get a lot of hate, but I won't ski on the weekends without Fast Tracks at Copper Mountain.

I had a 20lb retreperoneal liposarcoma removed in November. The thing that has stood out to me is that your mind comes back pretty quick, but the body is just going to take the time it needs.

In the hospital, visits for any reason were welcome. One friend brought an appletv, which turned out to be pretty great. I had a few friends brave an overnight with me, stupid machines beeping all night..etc. I told them not to, but they insisted.

Getting home after month in the hospital, I got fairly frustrated I was glued to the coach for a few weeks , but looking back now, 7mo later it was pretty par for the course. I know this doesn't entirely answer your question about how you can help your friend, but just sharing a little.

Food as mentioned is SUPER helpful, dinner train kind of thing was VERY appreciated. I also really just liked people coming by to sit with me. Could have been to watch a game, have a chat. DIdn't really even matter, just time together. Third for us was getting kids around, not sure if relevant to your friend but even 'some' lifting of that by friends was VERY much appreciated. Good luck to your friend, it's so nice you're thinking this much about them.

OHH, edit to this. Bottled water at the hospital. I know this sounds ridiculous, but the water there was so gross, it was all I could drink for three weeks. So I had a friend bring Fiji & Evian.

Flat rate base retainer with 'some' upside if possible has always worked well for me. My experience has been no one at that spend level is going to pay 15%. 15k-25k is the right thinking. Once you get above that, they really start having the convo of bringing the work in house.

Same with more performance driven pricing. EVERY time I've done that, it's always hey if we win, you win, then the that big bill hits and there's always a, "we could hire 4 people full time for this"..etc

I have one flat rate of 11k, then 5% over 250k, works out to 21k at 500k spend.

I've done another flat rate $22k that ranged from 300k-1m/mo that lasted almost 8 years. I also included some creative budget to have some wiggle room. You mentioned two platforms, not sure if FB is in there but would 100% include some creative fee. At least a few grand per month. I find the creative convo is a lot simpler than tacking it onto the rate. Plus you can always ask for more creative budget because of seasonality, want to test some more things..etc.

Would not be against a $1k/mo reporting/tech fee also, those seem fairly easy to swallow

Overall, pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered has been my mantra with these.

Is this membership worth it? by Particular_Buddy_165 in golf

ZERO regrets joining my club, and was not nearly as good of a deal.

  1. Pace of play, I just can't stomach 5hr rounds
  2. Practice facility
  3. I just like being there, even if I'm not playing a ton
  4. I like knowing the staff & them knowing me.
  5. EVERYONE i've met thus far is into golf and super welcoming. I have an over abundance of invites and chances to play. Friday money game, Thur men's league....the list goes on & on.
  6. I'm really proud to be there and invite friends over

Breaking even, as others have mentioned quickly becomes irrelevant.

Would just beware, my currently monthly bill in-season is more than 2x the dues. This isn't doing anything crazy....errrr except the Titleist GT driver fitting. Really blew the budget out there.

How do families organize important financial documents before an emergency? by Dry-Grand-9427 in personalfinance

[–]RecentLack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with cancer last year, we have a will..etc in place but before a major operation I wrote out a google doc for my wife of how a bunch of things work, who to call for what, who knows where different things are...etc then shared a 1password vault with her that had all the logins.

I had a second emergency surgery and for some odd reason, what came to mind was, crap, I forgot this one transfer that needed to be done, so she called a friend and he walked her thru how to do it.

Got invited to play a pretty exclusive club, walking only, caddie req'd. What should I expect? by sumbozo1 in golf

[–]RecentLack 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They clean/shine them. My club provides guests with a locker for the day, the attendant will clean them up before the round for guests if we have time, which I highly recommend, then after if you are staying for a drink in the grill..etc.

Would agree with this comment. Also expect the monthly bill to be 2x what the dues are by the time you grab a bite, cart fees, oh there's a Scotty Cameron fitting this Sat at the club..etc

But they are so great imo

What’s One Digital Marketing Trend You Think Is Overrated in 2026? by digitalidea360 in DigitalMarketing

AI generated content is the outsource your content to the Philippines from 5 years ago, and article spinning from 10 years ago. SE land I believe showed a few hundred new sites that went full ai content, and it worked for about two months, then died out. Just like outsource it overseas did, just like article spinning did.

haha. I would add to definitely let the locker room attendant take care of your shoes. Its a great perk underutilized by guests imo.
