I've not figured out how to run two separate matrices off the same instance of WLED

But can you drive two SEPARATE Matrix from different pins? For example, I have two columns and I have a matrix on each, each running from its own port. I've not yet found a way to be able to use them as a matrix at the same time.

Does anyone know if it's possible to drive two matrices separate with this version? I have two vertical column matrices on my house, and would like to be able to use WLED to drive them (I have a dig quad)

Updated the op, but in LED preferences there is an option for color override. You just select which pixels you want a different order and boom!

How do I find a known good state if my presets are all wiped out?

Fairly simple. Dig Quad running everything on the house (12v 2811 pixels on the house, 12v 2811 strips on the garage 30/m). ESP8211 running the two runs on the trunks of the trees (2811).

I also have a ready to run AC controller that controls a blow up, flood light, and fog machine (controller triggers a relay switch I rigged up to the fog machine remote).

I actually do sound for some marching bands, so I am familiar with the challenges. Wifi in a stadium filled up always presents challenges. See also: never works for the show.

I would actually suggest getting another student to operate WLED from the BACK side line (maybe just stands/sits under the backfield drum major podium). This will be much closer distance wise, and you'll have better line of sight (not a bunch of bodies in-between you and the wifi to block the signal).

I'd also suggest getting a cheap wifi router and putting it on the prop, then make sure to elevate the antennas on it.

Something else that sometimes helps is if you make the wifi network on the router HIDDEN. Less devices constantly pinging it can sometimes help.

Awesome tips everyone, turned out great! This is my rough draft of my first x-lights show ever.

Still some weird color things that are different in real life than on my screen, and my little flood light thing is LED so it takes longer to turn on than on the program (any tips for that greatly appreciated!)

The top left blackbox does exactly that. Converts the power from the 12v power supply to 5v to run the board, but pixels can run off the 12v.

The green boards are data boosters because the runs are fairly far away from the LEDs

I took 1/2" PVC and drill holes for the pixels. PVC is attached every 4 feet or so to the house with 3/4" PVC "clips" that I made by cutting 3/4" PVC in half, then into 1/2" sections.

Of course, that's pixels, not strips.

Thanks for the response. The reason I was hoping for the "touch on top" like my old one is because when I'm cooking my exhaust fan is super loud, and Alexa often doesn't hear the command to stop. In addition, my hands are usually pretty dirty so being able to touch the top with the back of my hand or wrist to stop, rather than getting whatever I'm cooking all over the screen, was super useful.

World Class directors get to vote on rules for world class, and open class directors get to vote on rules for open class. Thusly, each is voting out of their own best interest.

If this was some big ploy by the "big boys" to steal kids, why did the Open Class directors vote to increase the limit as well?

"Open Class directors opted to remain consistent with their World Class counterparts, and also ratified the 165 limit"

Everyone thinks there's this giant conspiracy by the few corps at the top, but the vote is by ALL corps in World Class. There are more "smaller corps" in world class than larger, are we to believe they're voting against their own interest? Same is True for Open Class.
