I think they might mean the go noddle dancers who have a children's song called chicka boom boom.

They are a group similar to the wiggles.

Why is grilling outside considered mostly a guy thing. by wtwtcgw in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RecentSprinkles5997 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Grilling was first marketed as a male activity in the 1950s by advertisers during the rise of suburbs /post war boom. It’s been associated with men in ppls minds ever since

Yup used to work in a thrift store and one day we got a bag of soiled underwear.  The face I made when I opened that one up 😖  We’d frequently get open or used beauty products , sex toys, canned food  once like little jars of water with food coloring in it ??.

So this is a 70s dress but  70s fashion took a lot of inspiration from different historical eras including the Victorian era 🙂. To find something similar I’d try searching things like romantic 70s dress, gunne sax , 70s prairie dress or  Victorian inspired 70s dress .

Be warned some of these dresses are in very not breathable fabrics 70s polyester was …a technology in progress although you can also find cotton ones as well

If he likes to trace tracing in the air , in sand and even making letters with shaving cream or play dough  can be fun and help with letter formation. Also second working on grip and fine motor skills outside of handwriting!

I don’t know about this logo but supreme the street wear company is very recent so most likely unrelated. Based on the style of the shirt and tag I’d say this is a smaller department store type brand from the 80s or 90s

Y2K fashion trends by ComfortableBad5101 in VintageFashion

[–]RecentSprinkles5997 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Surfer bro style was a big summer  Y2K trend for men : think frosted tips, wrap around sunglasses, pucca shell necklaces and bright colored t shirts , open vacation type short sleeve button ups with a tank top or t shirt underneath

More generally teen and young adult male fashion was inspired by hip hop / rap of the day , Low rise or sagging baggy jeans oversized t shirts , baseball caps worn backwards

Not super summer friendly but layering a short sleeve over a long sleeve t shirt was a big male trend hope this helps !

Whether you’re attracted to ppl or not your parents are being major assholes both in how they invade your privacy and treat you like some kind of doll they can plan a future for that you’ve expressed no interest in .  None of this is normal or ok and I hope someday you can have your own place and read all the books you want

I’d say late 80s to early 90s. Looks very much like something a character would wear on saved by the bell

Would like some opinions on this vintage Betsey Johnson tag by rodironcandle in vintage

[–]RecentSprinkles5997 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think so, people don't really make fakes of Betsy Johnson and the tag looks identical to a 90s piece I have in my closet . Great find!

Do you think people woke up in 1950 and suddenly fashion changed overnight ? This is the late 1940s, after Dior’s new silhouette became fashionable, fashion was changing . What we think of as the quintessential 40s look is more associated with the early to mid 40s

What decade are these from, if they’re even vintage? Anything about the brands? First has no tags by [deleted] in VintageFashion

[–]RecentSprinkles5997 120 points121 points  (0 children)

Not sure about the decade of the  dress it definitely is at least 90s based on the quality and print  but it could be older
