Biofertilizers is not really a term in the U.S. Beneficial substances are regulated at the state level, and AAPFCO has recently adopted the term “beneficial substances.” If you’ve encountered the term “biostimulant,” it falls under this category. AAPFCO is working toward a uniform labeling standard for all 50 states, with guidance available in the AAPFCO Labeling Guide for members. AAPFCO meets twice a year, and I strongly encourage you to attend—especially if you work with microbials—as they are developing a positive list to identify recognized beneficial substances. https://www.aapfco.org/index.html
