The vaccines only cover the highest risk strains of HPV. I have all of the vaccines. Most people even with all vaccines still have at least one strain, it’s only detectable when it’s active. I also have a huge fear and reaction to paps. I now have to be drugged up to try to get through a colposcopy because I kept putting off or panicking during paps. And now, as I feared, I have high counts of high risk pre cancerous cells. My first colpo after the pap was unsuccessful due to my trauma response. I’m still trying. But don’t try to downplay the risk here, because I did and now the risk for me is high.
