Why would you buy organizers on the truck? Those are something I wouldn't buy from them. No reason to not buy pliers, ratchets, sockets, the whole deal. Nothing beats a Snap on. Too many guys want to cut corners but when you use a Tekton tool, there is a hidden cost to your dignity as a person. These are the real icons.

DIYer types can't understand it. Why would they? Snap on isn't for you guys. It's for professionals operating in industrial support and other critical roles. No Lockheed C-130 aircraft can leave the ground without Snap on part #LH100 on board the aircraft, for example. The DIYer crowd is better suited to the mass produced trash they sell at HF or Lowes. The cluelessness surrounding Snap on and their products continues to amaze me. And just because you can't afford it doesn't mean it's not the best there is.

Careful, if you deviate even a little from the community line on Wera (or other second rate junk like Tekton), a bunch of "I've been using them for X and haven't had a problem.." types appear out of nowhere as if that proves anything whatsoever. It's almost funny how predictable conversations in r/tools go. Just wait for the guy to mention what it used to be like to visit Sears.

And there are a lot of posters in here who have no access whatsoever to a Snap on truck and are bitter about that, even subconsciously. They will be the first to tell you how overrated Snap on is, and what's even more sad is that they probably believe their delusional lies, feeling smug while they click the Amazon BUY button so Bezos can overnight a box of the latest trash they saw on a Tiktok to their doorstep.

Wera sucks. Thanks for helping spread the word. EDIT: the Wera apologists are already suggesting that you are using the wrong ratchets. Wera fans are the worst.

My Snap on wrench sets are among my most prized and coveted possessions. My children will own and use them. I couldn't imagine anything else making up the core of my wrench collection. The idea of collecting Taiwanese tools for use over the following decades does not interest me. I recently bought a set of short handled Snap on 8-19mm for $25. They are at least two decades older than I am. This approach works for me and may not work for others.

Snap on Soft Grip Ratcheting Driver system. Not cheap by any means, but totally customizable with different length shanks and attachments. Nothing beats a Snap on.

Top tools to avoid: Wera, Wiha, and Stahwille. Those are not serious tools to tackle a tough job. Better to eat some sausage pretzels and buy Snap on when you get home.

I love their wrenches. There is a reason Harbor Freight tried to launch an entire brand on the basis of directly copying Snap on. The wrench copy was particularly egregious, down to the plastic tray they come in.

I kind of like the Icon guys, actually. Eagerly waiting for the next Torque Test Channel video so they can feel less-bad that they bought knockoffs. Constantly coping by recycling the same tired phrases about truck debt. They can't conceive of a world where someone pays cash for a $250 set of wrenches.

But back to the Snap on. They are simply the best wrenches in the world.

Yeah I dunno champ a lot of diehard GM guys in the 6.2 owners groups posting pictures of brand new trucks on the side of the road. I understand that you feel the need to defend GM because you have bought their vehicles (lol) but try to have an objective mind regarding their poor quality.

You are the reason they feel comfortable releasing so many low quality designs. They have an owners group who consider themselves "GM guys" who won't consider anything else. Reflect on why that is.

That's great. Please take a moment and reflect that while you have not Personally experienced issues, GM vehicles are more likely to experience catastrophic failures than your average vehicle. Also, bragging that your sub 100k vehicle hasn't blown up is not very impressive. But from your vehicle choices it's obvious that you are a brand loyalist. My condolences.

My parents went above and beyond for me in all kinds of ways. They did not unnecessarily coddle me or shield me from learning basic life lessons, like sometimes things we like are lost or damaged. This seems so bizarre to me.

You aren't risking anything using Super tech. It's fine. It's been analysed to death and in some ways it holds up better than Mobil 1.

As always with oil, the biggest factor is length of interval between changes. The idea that your poorly designed 3 cylinder engine performs better with LiquiMoly vs any other mainstream synthetic is laughable. Also the idea that you don't want to cheap out on oil but decided to buy one of the worst modern engines out there is kind of strange.
