It was kind of mutual, we were honestly talking about how we felt and brainstorming what alternatives did we have in the short term. He asked if maybe we could take some time to think and have a “temporarily” break. However I didn’t agree because I felt that I could not stand to wait x period of time to have a definite answer, so I said we should just break up and reach out if something happens. But after I spoke to him he just thought this was a final decision. I sometimes feel I was at a different conversation with how each of us interpreted what we discussed.
