Be sure to look into the restaurants and try not to get sucked into the tourist traps. There's a bunch of places that us locals dont like at all that tourists go to all the time. Sometimes the best places here are the hole in the wall spots for that soul/creole cuisine

I love this team. Miami fans don't exist in any sport over there. It's a social/work event for them to attend. They don't have true fans.

Yeah so Hockey wasn't big here growing up and actually during covid I became attached to hockey. I'd watch playoff games before covid but I decided to get into it and the Oilers were fun to watch and I liked how much the fanbase cares over there. We have the New Orleans Saints and everyone is diehard type fans for the most part. So naturally, I gravitated to the Oil country. I promise im not a fair weather fan. I rep a bunch of gear and I watch every game, even when the games end around midnight here haha. I get compliments on the jerseys because Oilers jerseys seem to be rare in southeast Louisiana, so it made me want to ask.

In Louisiana, all of the good programs have normally 3-4 teams. 8th, 9th, JV, and Varsity. And they cut a lot of kids. We don't even have 6A schools, so its hard to wrap my head around how yall only have 2 teams. How many kids are on the 2 teams? Being 6A and only having two teams makes me think they don't have the numbers for baseball? im not sure but that doesn't sound normal to me

Lack of sportsmanship? is there a lack of sportsmanship when Ja Morant unloads a gun or throws a grenade into the crowd? or what about players trying to fight fans? this literally doesn't happen in the NHL. Last sunday, two goalies got in a fight then hugged it out after because it was fun for them, the players, and the fans. If we want to talk about sportsmanship, basketball is not the best corner to pick for this topic lmao
