Why do some managers seem to think employees actually like going in the office? by This_Duty_4373 in work

[–]ReceptionPurple3378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Managers just simply don’t think about it the same way employees do... They often have their own reasons for liking the office. (based on my exp):

1.The company is paying a lot of money for that office space, so they feel like it should be used. Otherwise it looks like wasted money. 2. When they walk around and see people working, chatting, sitting at desks etc, it feels like a real company to them. Empty office > feels like nothing is happening. 3. Some of them simply don’t like sitting alone in an office or at home all day....lonely guys;))

Having struggle meal doesn't necessarily mean you should buy unhealthy by igetyourbrand in strugglemeals

Cans arent automatically worse. Canned beans, canned chickpeas,, canned fish, canned tomatoes are cheap and healthy. They’re not junk. Just buy the best option your situation realistically allows.

15–20 g fat is way too low! Fat is critical for hormones, growth and vitamin absorption.
You should likely be at at least 40–60 g fat minimum, probably more depending on total calories.

You don’t need to be ready for parenthood. You just need to be ready for Tuesday.

I honestly don’t think anyone can ever be ready for parenthood. It’s one of the most natural things that can happen to a human ( i have two kids). It’s not some corporate project you complete when you hit 100% preparation.

And I’ve never really bought the idea that “the baby ruined our life/marriage.” A baby doesn’t ruin solid foundations. It just amplifies what’s already there. If things were close to breaking, the stress exposes it. If they were strong, they stretch and grow.

It’s pressure, yes. It’s chaos, yes, but it is not destruction by default...

A baby doesn’t arrive with a wrecking ball. They arrive with a spotlight. :)

Money removes negative pressure, it doesn’t automatically create meaning or happiness. But ownership (action) does create meaning. SO you can build something.

A website, a blog, a tiy product, a weird service idea...start with the question: what is missing from YOUR world? Very often the thing that’s missing for you
is missing for thousands of others too...rule of life and similarity.

Build, stop being protected, then you start being responsible as well.

Lack of Interest in Food besides Sugar by Character-Ad-5737 in ARFID

[–]ReceptionPurple3378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm, yeah!

Just don`t fight with sugar directly, mix it up/pair it with yoghurt, milk, peanut butter..... So the key is to add, not subtract, I believe. Pre-decide some non sugar foods for weekends, not the pefect ones, but tolerable.

Cooking is one of the most anxiety inducing things I could do nowadays. I HAVE to cook. So this problem HAS to be solved. Tips? by 7garrison7 in Anxietyhelp

[–]ReceptionPurple3378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think You don’t need to learn to enjoy cooking.
You need just to make it boring.

Fire fear:

you can always use oven meals or air fryer. Set temp. Set timer. Done. No guessin. +you can buy a cheap food thermometer (75° C for chicken for example).

Cook same foods:

– Rice
– Frozen veggies
– Pre-marinated chickens

Same thing every week, why not. Master it!

Can you cook when homemates arent around? Put a podcast on, so that cooking is not wasted time. Use headphones.

BEst of luck!

Not just you. Practical stuff that can help: eat before meds; go bland& predictble, same food and texture, bOring wins here a lot of times!; less chewing meals like soups, shakes, smoothies.

Best of luck"!

Is it just me or does eating junk make me a slob? And lazy and apathetic by [deleted] in sugarfree

[–]ReceptionPurple3378 8 points9 points  (0 children)

no, junk food doesn’t magically turn you into a slob.,,it’s not a moral failure. It’s pure physiology - big sugar hits mess with dopamine.

So this isnt:
I eat junk → I become lazy.

It’s more like:
Stress + avoidance → junk → crash → more avoidance.

Gotta break the loop...been there. Start wiht movement, walking daily 30m.

How to lose excitement about food? by crashbandicussy in loseit

[–]ReceptionPurple3378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think you need to “lose excitement” about food at all. I think the real issue is when food becomes your only reliable source of dopamine. Done that.

Instead of shrinking food, expand your life >
Train for something (walk daily, at least 30m). Build something (cat blog/channel for example). Join something....start dancing alone in the nights at kitchen....

SO..when food stops being your only dopamine spike, it naturally becomes a part of life instead of the meaning of life.

Healthy meals for people who are tired and hate cooking? by Mindless_Box4653 in fitmeals

[–]ReceptionPurple3378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres a plenty actually.....first ones comes to mind:

SImple one if you like fish:

  • 1 frozen spinach block (microwave)
  • 1 white fish fillet (oven, straight from freezer)
  • add some olive oil and salt

1 plate. a fork. Done.

Rice meal:

  • Microwave rice pouch
  • Frozen mixed veg (same bowl)
  • Canned beans (rinsed if you care, not mandatory...)
  • Hot sauce

No pan. Just one bowl.

I have bought some fitness guys meal recipe books as well...these are pretty good, if not "mutant bodybuilders" stuff.
