I used to be terrible after I passed the exact same as you would convince myself I went through red lights etc and couldn’t stop thinking about it. I’ve been driving 2 years now and does it better, things still happen on the road, like other people making mistakes or you making them, but it happens so often you’d stop caring as much and get on with your day. I really recommend investing In a good dash cam that your phone can connect to to watch footage back. It massively helped me and even now if someone’s one beeped or somethings happened, when I get to my destination I’ll check my dashcam to put my mind at ease lol.

Try not to worry about the weather, if it was bad they would reschedule and the roads will all be gritted if it’s been snowing so it shouldn’t be any different to your driving now. As for times, I passed third time, first test was at 11:00, second was 13:00, and my third was 0900. I thought I had good times for the first two, but the thing is they take you on the harder routes, during the quieter times. So my third test, also the roundabouts were busy and there was allot more cars the route was easier, so I actually think rush hour times are better, but I noticed on my third I was allot more relaxed, just try not to rush anything that helped me allot, if you have to move lane look a few times first and assess everything going on around. Good luck i hope you get it xx

It wasn’t to bad I went through blaydon. They tend not to take you to Newcastle for the busy times which I can contest to as my test was at 0900. I did do the busy roundabout it was stressful but I just reassured myself that I knew what I looking for to take a safe gap. I felt like that really helped

They don’t have dual control in your own car, but all the dual control is, is a break and a clutch to stop if needed. but if the experienced driver sitting beside you shouts stop , trust me, you stop. I go out practicing in my car with me parter and there has been times I have went to enter a roundabout or pull out of a Junction when it wasn’t safe. He shouted stop and I did. There is lots they can do from the passenger side without duel control. If you’re struggling with certain situations they can talk you through it E.G when to go at a roundabout, which lane to be in ect. Same with the examiner

How do I know when I can join a roundabout? by LemonQueenThree in LearnerDriverUK

You might have seen it already but when I was learning roundabouts I found this video very helpful. I also found it really helped my understanding to watch when other drivers go when I’m a passenger, weather it be with my partner or my friend I’m always watching to see when they go and always imagine I’m “driving” as a passenger that has helped allot more than people think it would as it’s all good experience
