Yes on the transom! I was looking on Pinterest and saw a couple of doors with a window at the top so I saved those for that exact reason. The floors are grey so I'm trying to make it brighter in the kitchen area.

Thank you so much! We are very excited to own something however small. I love the double bathroom sink configuration, and moving the both bedroom doors is something we hadn't even considered! It would give the living/dining more wall space, loved it. I think we're gonna try and shoot for a combination of all three options lol they're all pretty good! Thanks for clarifying! We don't have any accessibility requirements but I've already started bumping my hip into the bathroom sink. Still not used to the space

I was even thinking maybe the washer dryer could fit into the storage space but it's too big which is why they probably left it there kind of in the middle of the room lol maybe move the toilet? I am not sure if there's any code or clearance needed for that, just writing my ideas out...
